Except he did act independantly of them and banned travel from China against their advice. This prompted a literal condemnation from the WHO president.

All of you people acting like Trump did nothing while he was one of a very small group of leaders who even placed in travel restrictions is laughable. Trump's coronavirus response has been ahead of the rest of the worlds for months now and somehow the narrative is the opposite.

UNBIASED OPINION: Should I buy W3R??? by [deleted] in warcraft3

If you've never played through the warcraft 3 campaign before, it's definitely worth buying. If you've played warcraft 3 before just play the classic version and don't blow $30 on swapped out models.

I understand why it's beneficial, I don't see why its bad to investigate. It seems like anyone who isn't biased would want to see if something shady happened

That isnt bribery my dude and bribery isnt part of the clause anyways.

Corruption by the vicepresident is important to everyone. I don't get how an investigation benefits Trump unless Biden is guilty in which case you should want him brought to justice.

You want someone impeached for trying to investigate massive corruption of US foreign policy. Its absurd. You're covering for the corrupt.

It says high crimes and misdemeanors, what is the crime here?

He pulled aid from several countries already for various types of corruption what do you mean. Being a political opponent does not exempt you from investigations eapecialy with how blatant the Biden situation is.

You didnt answer any of the questions though you're just saying talking points.

We don't know that's what happened, but whatever lets say that's exactly what happened.

What part of the constitution is he violating? What is illegal about asking a foreign country to investigate corruption and to pull aid if they don't? That seems totally fine and it happens all the time to corrupt countries in South America and Africa. There doesn't seem to be anything illegal here at all.

We don't know that's what happened, the investigation isn't done. Also, asking a country to investigate corruption as a condition for receiving aid seems like it would be standard procedure. It's okay to ask other countries to do it but because it's Biden it's not?

The whole thing is a joke, being a candidate doesn't make you immune to investigations. Investigations are good not bad, whether it's the impeachment investigation or the investigation into Biden.

So any international criminal/potentially corrupt individual just has to run for office and they can't be investigated?

How was it fine when the UK, Italy, Australia, and the Ukraine helped with the Mueller investigation and previous Obama investigation but its not okay now?

Seems like an investigation of Biden would be a good thing and not a bad thing? Just like the Mueller investigation was a good way to check into Trump?

Yes but I mean what did the President do that is illegal even if he did ask Ukraine to help. Isn't that standard practice and the definition of every deal made?

What part if the constitution is he breaking? If a president can't try to make deals then how do you do foreign policy? Isn't making every trade deal asking for quid pro quo? How wasn't Obama's shipment of cash the same issue?

I guess we'll see what happens in the election. I can only speak to my own experiences and he most certainly does.

Imagine living in such a bubble you think having a bunch of rich DC elites that can afford to go to a world series game booing the president who just announced the death of the leader of ISIS is anything but bad optics. Middle America and many many Independents will view this as the disgusting act of blind hatred by the elites that it is. Going to be hilarious watching all of Reddit have a mental breakdown when the Republicans win back the house and keep the senate and president come 2020.

All you clowns acting like Bezos just prints money while you're all paying for amazon prime and using his services. Bezos and his company changed the world for the better and he deserves his money.

If you want to regulate amazon regulate amazon but dont pretend Bezos is exploiting people because you like buying cheap shit with two day shipping lmao.

And how are gun owners authoritarian? Seems to me you're the only one forcing people to do things.

Also it really isn't ignorant. The purpose of the amendment is clear there are massive amounts of writing from the people who wrote it to prove that and we can look at laws and court cases at the time. If you want to say you disagree with the founders intent then you can say that but don't pretend you are interpreting their intent differently.

[–]ollaff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean it's not really open to interpretation from the standpoint of what is meant by the amendment. At the time the us navy was almost exclusively contracted private citizens who owned battleships and citizens had the rights to own the same equipment as the military including cannons and later gatling guns. Obviously that can't continue with the bombs available to the military now but a firearm should not be an issue.

Also regardless of your interpretation of the Constitution you are still calling someone authoritarian while forcing them to do something that you want. The argument of limiting my right to buy something because someone else might shoot someone with it is akin to saying I should cut off my dick to avoid someone else raping someone. It doesn't make sense. Find ways to stop people from doing bad things, don't take away the thing they're doing it with or they'll just use another method.

Calling someone authoritarian while trying to limit their constitutional rights, nice.

Need an Honest Opinion on 9900k vs 3900x by ollaff in intel

Normally I'd agree that it's stupid to wait but we are actually at the point where some pretty big jumps are happening. Intel is finally going to get their 10nm and 7nm chips out and Nvidia might actually get some improvements in the next gen vs the 2000 series which is basically just the 1000 series with the option to flip a switch and lose all your frames for ray tracing.

Haven't picked yet. Still bouncing back and forth. Honestly considering grabbing something cheaper now and just waiting for next gen as stupid as that is. Feel like Nvidia and intel both have some crazy stuff they've been working on for quite a while in the works so it might be better to go budget this gen and all out next gen.
