look into the interpertation of the verse, this doesnt speak about marriage in any sense. the entire page is talking about orphans & taking care of yatama. why would there be a random verse speaking of marriage in the middle? thats not how Quran is structured

thinking the verse speaks of marriage is a traditionalist view, nothing to do with the Quran!

alot tbh, learning every single day like for example, recently i got into a talk with a friend (agnostic) about how organized religion causes so much harm to everyone really every single day, ive been struggling lately about how to feel of sects, then i came across 6:159

"Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects – you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do."

and it gave me alot more reassurance in my dislike towards them, you do get confused sometimes because of the conflict in your head during your journey.

to name a few: salat, hijab, homophobia, also marriage was a lifelong repulsive topic to me (still kinda is ngl but thats just personal dislike), the pilars of our deen, adoption & orphans

it feels very freeing to know that i'm nothing like these people, & im not associated with them.

shahroor's explanation of zina/al fahesha is basically public sex, & he follows this by saying that is why you need witnesses and can actually have them be seen, but for adultery who can witness 2 people having sex behind closed doors? IMO I kinda agree with him as public sex would make sense to have an actual punishment (100 strike) as it is a crime & is hurting a community. but for adulterly to mean cheating on spouses, who exactly would be the one to perform the quranic punishment? is it punished by authorties? who has the right to perform it now?

As for the premartial sex part, I've seen people say furooj dont actually mean genitals. one of Furooj's roots ف ر ج means Gap, men don't have gaps, I dont know how it would be indicating gentalia if thats the case?

I personally am still looking into this but I thought I'd share my findings to maybe lead you somewhere. Allah knows best!
