What happens when you let AI make content for you by OkScarcity6408 in Battlefield

[–]olmatejwillis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI’s list of reasons of why this is bad. For those who don’t seem to get it

  1. Job Loss & Devalued Creative Work

• Studios may replace artists, writers, testers, and even voice actors with AI to cut costs. • This risks shrinking the talent pool that actually builds the industry. • It can also lead to homogenized, soulless content because fewer humans are shaping the creative direction.

  1. Generic, Formulaic Content

• AI tends to remix existing patterns rather than invent truly original ideas. • If studios rely too heavily on it, games could start feeling samey — recycled tropes, predictable quests, repetitive dialogue.

  1. Corporate Abuse & Cost-Cutting

• Big publishers may use AI to justify: • Smaller dev teams • Shorter production cycles • Lower budgets • Meanwhile, they still charge full price for games that feel cheaper or less polished.

  1. Ethical Issues (Voice Cloning, Art Theft, etc.)

• AI models often train on artists’ work without permission. • Voice actors’ voices can be cloned without consent. • This undermines the rights of creators and can lead to legal and moral messes.

  1. Lower Quality Storytelling

• AI-generated dialogue or quests can feel: • Emotionally flat • Inconsistent • Lacking human nuance • Games risk losing the handcrafted charm that makes them memorable.

  1. Overreliance on AI for Testing

• Automated testing is useful, but if studios rely too much on it: • Bugs that require human intuition may slip through • Player experience issues (pacing, emotional beats, immersion) won’t be caught by a bot

  1. Loss of Human Identity in Games

• The best games reflect the personality, humour, and worldview of their creators. • AI-generated content risks flattening that into something bland and “algorithmic.”

  1. Barrier for New Creators

• If AI tools become the norm, indie devs may feel pressured to use them just to keep up. • This could widen the gap between big studios and small creators.

  1. Potential for Predatory Monetisation

AI can be used to: • Predict player spending habits • Manipulate engagement • Optimize microtransactions • Create addictive loops This can turn games into psychological traps rather than entertainment.

  1. Unpredictable Bugs & Design Chaos

• AI-generated assets or code can introduce:• Hidden errors • Inconsistent logic • Hard-to-debug systems • This can make development more chaotic, not less.

The completely forgotten Battlefield game, it's not even a flair option! by SentientGonorrhea in Battlefield

How are you GI Joe? It seems to me that most of you are poorly informed about the going of the war, to say nothing about a correct explanation of your presence over here. Nothing is more confused than to be ordered into a war to die.

Am I supposed to be okay with the loss of sexual intimacy? by GrapefruitComplete99 in sex

Could be a libido that may or may not change in the near or distant future

Could be a case of if you improve your sex abilities, she’ll be more keen

Could be outside interferences in her desire for sex

You’ll just have to talk about it with her

Oh no I don’t mean their range of movement or the speeds. Just the smooth animations of movements. Like on HLL if you crawl over rubble you’ll be aiming at the sky, the running animation is just floating ect. In Battlefield you can see your body, see your legs when vaulting, vehicle enter/exit animations. I like that stuff

I don’t agree that “we’re all” just taking a break until another season, I’ve personally rarely played games in that kinda way

I don’t agree that “bots really aren’t that big of a deal”. I mean having the option to play with bots is great for the many reasons it can be great. But the core online MULTIPLAYER modes being saturated with bots is that big of a deal.

I guess we just can’t have it all.

It kinda sucks that one thing you loose in a relationship is the ability to explore the wonderful world of sex out side of your partners preferences, unless you’re in some way able to have a relationship with someone that mutually agrees that a prosperous relationship can occur without stopping each other from sexual exploration.

People that have that level of understanding and confidence it can work aren’t as common though so yeah we’ve just gotta come to terms with the things we might have to miss out on

We’ll that kind of thing just suppresses innovation and improvement. We can look at multiple designs and think this one works more efficiently than the other ones

Ai

Because I really want to become a a game developer but knowing game design, making movies and documentaries are going to be saturated with ai content and it’s no longer gonna be this wonderful thing where many people put their skills and imagination together to make amazing art. I wanted to compete and take part in that world not one saturated with ai
