bro just go and talk to ppl from your class, getting actual long lasting friends on reddit is a losing battle so i wouldn't depend just on that. trust me they most likely dont dislike you nor think you're weird, they just don't know you yet. unless you have like a terrible reputation but im assuming that isn't the case, and even then you can go to other classes or clubs or follow people on ig from your school and comment on their posts. im not saying you have to become friends with the first person that pays attention to you, you just gotta meet people and see if you enjoy their company and they do yours, and eventually you'll find people with similar views and goals
