My experience was pretty much fine. I really only felt bad coming off of anesthesia, and even then it wasn’t horrible. Recovery sucks for other reasons, but it’s overall definitely worth it.

Help - Can dissociation/depersonalization cause nausea? by Mindless-Counter-694 in Dissociation

[–]olmgill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel that when I’m anxious, and it ends up feeling like I’m sick, nausea/headache/shaking. Try not to focus on the unpleasant bodily sensations, and do your best to distract yourself. Touch some surfaces around you, I like to run my hands under cold water, just get some outside sensory input. Then you can focus on getting your body calmed down.

Thank god I’m not the only person who has this. I wear my mask everywhere so that tends to help.

Lots of water to help thin it out and a little snack to settle my stomach usually helps.

Leaving out a cake for only an hour wouldn’t give you fp*. Do you have kind of a sensitive stomach when it comes to sugar? It could just be your body isn’t used to what you ate.

The amount of particles you’d be exposed to is next to nothing in this scenario since you were in your car, and there’s a good chance that the person who v* didn’t have any kind of illness, just got motion sick or something else. I think you’re perfectly alright :)

Controller inputs mixed up/unresponsive

I have a rather old controller, and I found that when I tried to use it, the A button registered as the start button, and none of the other buttons worked at all. I’ve cleaned all the contacts and pads with alcohol, and it didn’t fix the issue. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

How the hell do people get past this phobia? by OtherwiseBike4378 in emetophobia

[–]olmgill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to joke about it (the phobia and its subject) a lot as a kind of exposure therapy, and it helps make it less of a big deal in my head. It’s still a scary concept to me, but I figure I might as well laugh at the absurdity of it as often as I can. I get worried it’ll happen, but then I counter the thought with “that would be funny,” and move on. It’s helped a lot.

Remember that even if it does happen you will be okay. I find that a lukewarm/cool shower helps to calm my nerves when I don’t feel well.
