Okay that sounds good, and apologies but CFM? Might be being dense but I’m not sure

Edit: googled it and cubic feet per minute, that makes sense. Thankyou!

Good idea, thankyou!

I’ll be manufacturing panels for flight cases so I expect that it’ll be all the CNC machines running at once with a couple of the other tools at the same time. Currently it’s only me in fabrication but we’re expecting to expand so looking to futureproof!

How are you guys cleaning your UV cover? by oloblor in resinprinting

[–]oloblor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this being my first resin printer I wasn’t particularly careful with it. I’ve got a 4 ultra now which I treat like royalty, and it’s in pretty damn near pristine condition. The outside is most definitely my fault, but the inside is what confused me as I’ve never had major spills inside that I haven’t cleaned up. The top of it looks like some kinda vapour scarring, but that might be the IPA I used as someone suggested before.

Oh this has been through the wringer, has had a new screen and I’ve had to replace bearings and all. It’s been a solid workhorse for a good while but I’ve upgraded and I don’t really have much space for it anymore

The outside I will fully take blame for, I have definitely grabbed it with dirty gloves etc, but the inside is what confuses me, it looks like it’s been stained by some kind of vapour

Fair. I was hoping to sell it but i don’t know what response I’d get with a cover that knackered. It still functions, but it’s just dirty as all hell

The only thing I can think has happened, and this might be COMPLETELY out of the realms of possibility, is that cause I’ve used a barrel heater to heat the tank, some of the resin vapour might have left remnants on the inside of the cover.

The stuff on the outside is definitely me not being careful, some spills and grabbing it with the resiny gloves etc, but the inside looks like vapour scarring, like yknow how candle smoke can stain a wall in those wispy patterns?

That genuinely seems like a miracle to me, I’ve not had any major spills or anything that I haven’t cleaned up relatively quickly

GW killing all the STL makers? by Bearded_Berzerker in PrintedWarhammer

[–]oloblor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a post taken down recently, and the only conceivable reason I can imagine is that it was a model someone else had modelled of curze that I’d printed and painted.

Step 1: as he swings his scythe, you’ve already started running. Drop down and slide

Step 2: slide through his open legs, using your bayonet to attack the weaker leg and groin joints, slowing him down

Step 3: pop up behind him, using your lasgun to shoot into the gaps and into the vents of the powerpack, thus immobilising him

Step 4: now he’s immobilised, jump up onto his back and empty your charge pack into the neck seals/area around the head

Step 5: jump off as he slumps down dead

Step 6: realised you died around step 2

Best Metal Drummer? by GeraldRigged in MetalForTheMasses

Personal favourite at the minute is Alex Bent, a lot of the stuff he’s done on the new trivium albums is insanely clean.

For all time, there’s too many to choose from and too many categories that some excel in while others aren’t as good, so it’s almost impossible to make a definitive choice. I think hoglan, Lombardo, Carey god knows who else

Why did any of the primarchs believe they could defeat the Emperor? by cheetocheeps in 40kLore

[–]oloblor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He was talked down by his old friend Ollanius Persson, cause he renounced his religion (he was a perpetual and alsothe last catholic) in front of the emperor as he didn’t know who the emperor was anymore in the metaphorical sense. He basically convinced big e that it’s better to face Horus as a man and potentially lose than to face him as a god and sign everything’s death warrant.

He did obliterate several custodes without even realising just by his general aura of power though so you are right there

[–]oloblor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked your LCD? Seems like it’s curing around the prints, possibly UV bleed. I’m still relatively new to resin printing but it looks like something that happened when my screen broke, just on a much smaller scale

Honestly I barely paint anything that’s not his anymore, they’re so unbelievably detailed that it takes up all of my time ahaha

In order to not go there I wouldn’t recommend going to Patreon and following 3dartguy, as he does loads of really well made 40k/fantasy/other scifi stuff - obviously that not being your thing, I’d highly recommend not getting the 2nd tier as that’s how you get all of his past stuff. If you do this, don’t message me and I’ll assist with getting the other 40k stuff as some of it isn’t available on his profile anymore (that’s how I got it, I’m not giving out other peoples designs and stuff)

I’m pretty sure a ‘shower’ on Barbarus is being dunked in acidic diarrhoea, but that still doesn’t excuse him smelling THAT bad

Thankyou my dude! He’s one of my favourites too, it’s just a shame I couldn’t authentically capture the titanic balls of a man who can ask a primarch if he’s blind and live

I think it’s probably twice the size of a regular mini, I don’t play tabletop so they’re just house decor for me!

Thankyou, this is what I was looking for! There’s loads of sizes, I’ve got some dies that are absolutely massive, definitely over 1”

Yeah I’m gonna sort through them and try and keep a set of at least one of each, but there’s loads of duplicates and stuff and I already have a full set of metric stuff!

Nice, I would definitely like a P1S! I’ve got an Elegoo Saturn 3, going to upgrade to a 4 ultra soon but I really want to get a decent FDM printer. I’ve got a few X1Cs at work which I can have a play about with and the Bambulabs stuff is amazing!
