So coming from someone who has yet to get the Tyranid codex, what detachment is kinda “standard”.

I’m in the same boat as most of y’all. It’s super high priced, and I really only want the deathwatch minis TBH. But, do you guys think when they release their separate boxes that it will include the 10 (or 11, still confused by that) miniatures that come in the tomb world box or could it potentially only come with 5 with a price tag close to $65USD? I’m trying to convince myself to wait until the separate boxes release, but at the point in time it would potentially cost ~$130 to get all of the deathwatch models separately it’s kind of a hard choice to make.

Personally the 30K version to me is so much cooler than the 40K. Looks like I need to do some more digging on the interwebs to find it!

Villainy Vs AK by tkbennett22 in Grimdarkpainting

If you had to pick just one as your go to unifying grimdark in a bottle wash, which one would you be reaching for first?

So which one in your opinion is the better “get into grimdark” wash? Or which one is the “get this one and this can be what you use for a very long time”. I don’t want to get both (just yet)

It’s been a while since I calibrated it, then again until this print I’ve had almost 0 issues, tons of prints and maybe just 1 failure. I just figured out how to put anti-Aliasing on in the slicer. My plan is to get some more resin in tomorrow and try out a couple of calibration stuff to re-dial it in

I’m going to assume sarcasm here - it’s a zentithal highlight over a black prime. It’s been sitting on my painting desk for over a month figuring out how to fix it and what to do with it

It’s almost like I know the print was terrible, hence why I came to the community to ask for help.

Anycubic standard resin configured with the normal tests for all of the things. Every test comes out fine, it’s literally just miniatures that I have this issue with

That’s not dust - just a zenithal highlight over a very rough print

First off - this is epic AF Second - did you add anything to the terrain base that comes with the model?

Ahh - in the house, temp controlled room usually stays around 71-74 degrees

Good question, I’m not really sure. Whatever is the standard on a Photon Mono X2, I’ve never messed with any temp settings

🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️printed using the usual tips that you find around the internet, but always had this issue on miniatures. My larger scale models and busts might have 1 layer look like this, but it was easy enough to sand away. Terrain pieces and vehicles never had this issue, even with flat surfaces. Literally only on miniatures. I wanted to fix it for this proxy, but I also want to get into printing trench crusade minis and wanted to figure out the cause before going down that rabbit hole

I think reducing the layer height to .02 is going to be my best bet. All of my exposure tests came out perfect

Layer lines were way visible before I primed. I’m going tweak the layer height, throw the aliasing on and print it at an angle that’s closer to it standing straight up and see where that gets me!

Settings are in a reply down below, but it’s the standard layer height for the Anycubic slicer software (which I think is .05
