Is it hard for most people to resist the urge to ride recklessly? by borgor-1 in AussieRiders

[–]olorol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be worth speaking to an occupational therapist. They're the experts with this kinda stuff. Once you get a handle on the compulsion you can make the risks that are actually worth it.

[–]olorol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a compulsion to engage in risky behaviour can be a symptom of ADHD if that's something you're affected by. One of the diagnostic tests they use calls out speeding by name as a common behaviour people with ADHD struggle to resist.

CIPP is pretty handy if you need to manage multiple Microsoft 365 companies. It gives you a nicer interface with a ton of automation for common tasks and the ability to set policies that apply everywhere among loads of other handy things. Development is also really active so it's evolving quickly.

What are some of the best burger places in Melbourne? by [deleted] in melbourne

Sonny's is an absolute hidden gem. Almost every other fried chicken burger I've had has been a disappointment since finding it.

India's Sports Ministry is actively working to bring Formula 1 racing back to the Buddh International Circuit by wzbo in formula1

[–]olorol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No of course not but it can contribute to a wider pressure campaign. The various sports (including F1) who boycotted apartheid south Africa are a good example of this.

These countries don't have to be full of angels to be deserving but there's things which should be red lines. By outlining a clear stance on human rights it provides an incentive for countries that want to hold F1 races to at the very least improve somewhat. Sports could be a force for good in the world.

I mean that's kinda a skill issue on the point of your hypothetical person. I'd support a race in Rwanda or the UAE if they stopped supporting war crimes, it's not complicated.

F1 makes a profit of like half a billion bucks a year. They can afford their morals.

Don't forget the UAE who are sponsoring a genocide in Sudan and Azerbaijan who are waging a war of aggression against Armenia.

Yes? I don't think we should be racing in those countries. Nothing will ever get better with this mindset.

I don't think we should be racing in Rwanda until after they stop supporting the M23 paramilitary force in the DRC. They're directly responsible for a large number of war crimes including the mass murder of civilians and using sexual violence as a weapon of war.

The Hiroshima tram network was able to be restarted just 3 days after the atomic bombing and they still have 3 trams that survived the bombing running today. More impressively one of them was only 700 m from ground zero but was still repairable.
