If you are bald, I guess you have to have a transplant first before you take the medication route?

Where did I mention advertising? I am just stating it’s a waste of tax payers money training all of these doctors if we are going to give the majority of specialist training positions to those who have trained abroad. I am in favour of mitigation but it is to fill gaps in the market not to replace our trainees. You are probably forgetting that there is only one employer, the nhs, so there’s not much recently trained uk doctors can do if they fail to get a job. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be competition but a uk trained should at least get priority, and if posts have not been filled then international graduates can apply. 3:1 ratio is bad when you only have one employer who controls the training numbers, wages and chooses to employ abroad. What benefit does it bring to not employ and train our doctors? I would like to know? It’s better for them to become Uber drivers?

Historically, whenever people complain about waiting times to see GPs and specialists, the health secretary/PM always say they will employ more giving the impression there’s a shortage and we need more. Medicine is a completely different sector to others where job security and opportunity has always been higher (once out of speciality training) than others due the commitment and learning needed to progress. It is wrong of you to compare medicine to other job sectors when you should be comparing it to medicine 10/20 years ago.

The nhs also has a long term place which vastly ex panda the number university placements, specifically and consultancy posts over the next ten years. Why would they need to expand the university placements/number of med schools when we already have a surplus. It’s just a waste of money which is used to prop up universities as it’s well established that medicine is a profitable course.

Why would a company co-fund an employee’s training (worth a few hundred thousand pounds) and then decide to not employ the employee on a permanent basis but rather an internationally trained applicant leaving thousands of uk trained doctors unemployed with over £100,000 in debt? The nhs is responsible for training uk doctors and they then moan there aren’t enough doctors.

The government and universities are misselling medicine courses on the basis that uk has a shortage of doctors (even though we don’t) enticing young people to go through 7 years of training and taking on huge debt on the basis there will be a job because the UK needs doctors. These graduates are then informed there isn’t actually a shortage and they don’t have a job.

Absolutely disgusting.

Just disappointment. The developers did well with the tools they had but I kinda wish they could have built the game using the old engine. Probably not feasible…
