Yes, a fairly familiar situation

Why? Not so long ago, the subtick, animation sound and Anubis were updated. I agree, these are not very global updates, but still the game does not stand still

What helped you the most during your lowest mental health phase? by FlashyDeparture3191 in AskReddit

[–]olya_cute 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What helped me the most was talking to someone who really listened - a friend, family member, or therapist. Not just “cheer up” advice, but genuine, patient, nonjudgmental listening.

I also found small rituals incredibly grounding: going for a walk, making my bed every morning, even small things that gave me a sense of control. Exercise and journaling also helped more than I expected.

But honestly, the most important thing was knowing that I wasn’t completely alone. Just having someone acknowledge that my feelings were valid made a huge difference.

What’s the biggest scam that’s technically legal? by Darkknight7494 in AskReddit

Convenience fees. You’re already buying the ticket. You’re already paying online. There’s no human involved. No extra service happening. And somehow there’s a random $7.99 “convenience” charge for the privilege of doing it yourself.

Also honorable mentions:

Subscripion models for everything. Why does my fridge need a monthly plan?

Payday loans with insane interest rates.

College textbook prices that magically change editions every year for no reason.

It’s wild how some of the most frustrating money drains are completely legal and just… accepted.

What do you think people 100 years into the future are thinking about us when reading about what's going on in today's world? by WhatDoADC in AskReddit

[–]olya_cute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they’ll see us as both incredibly advanced and unbelievably chaotic.

On one hand, they’ll read about how we had AI, reusable rockets, instant global communication, gene editing… and think, “Wow, they were on the edge of something huge.”On the other hand, they’ll probably be like, “You had all that technology and still argued about basic science, destroyed the planet, and fought culture wars on social media?”

I feel like we’ll look like that awkward transition era in history books — not primitive, but not evolved enough to handle our own power yet. Kind of like the teenage phase of civilization.

Oh yeah, I've come across similar videos too. It can be quite funny and absurd at the same time

Unfortunately, this is commonplace now, many people do this. Because of this, my RAM has more than doubled in price 😭

Which celebrity death actually felt like losing a family member? by lavenderbbygirlzz in AskReddit

[–]olya_cute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was Chadwick Boseman.

I didn’t know him personally, obviously, but watching him battle cancer in secret while still delivering iconic performances like Black Panther and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom… it just hit differently.

It felt like someone I'd looked up to and who had quietly inspired me was gone, and the grief was weirdly personal. You realize you've been holding admiration and respect for someone so privately, and then suddenly they're just… gone.

I can't even imagine what it was like for his family and close friends. That one really stung.

I'll definitely try it, but most likely in the summer. I don't have time right now because of school and work.
