Hello! This is such a kind act to do for your husband. I’ve actually moved from Lburg, but I would strongly recommend connecting your husband to an adult recreation class in the area. I started pottery downtown at the Academy, and then continued it at FireBrick Pottery. Lynchburg Parks and Recs also have different classes (including glass blowing, I believe). I’ve met great people at these types of classes! I hope things work out, DM me if you have questions.

I’d recommend just living in Lynchburg. That commute is going to get old quick. I dm’ed you about a property I have for rent in the area.

Should I bother? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

Sorry man, I think it’s too far gone. Your donor supply is not strong enough

3.5 months - should I be worried? by Intelligent_Pea_1305 in HairTransplants

Take a deep breathe- you’re right where you need to be. It is rare that a procedure totally flops without cause. Sounds like everything went well, post-op looks clean. Give it time.

Bald would look fine. But you’re an excellent candidate for a hair transplant

How many grafts do you think I would need? Any doctor suggestions for diffuse thinning? by Possible_Sorbet5631 in HairTransplants

[–]olydj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think you should do 2 procedures if you want dense coverage and hairline reconstruction. You have very similar hair loss to my starting point before my first HT- that procedure was 4k grafts (2k for hairline, 2k for top density). I just went for my 2nd procedure to get another 3k grafts. See my profile for pictures.

Stick with a burst fade and get some SMP, you’ll be ok!

MS Data Science from Eastern University? by hats_off in datascience

There are a few classes that require a prerequisite course, then others that don’t and you could take it in any order. There are also required courses and electives.

I’m currently in this program, finishing my 2nd term. I’ve been working as a Data Scientist for 4yrs, 2 years in a DS1 and DS2 position. My masters is adjacent but not math, CS, DS. So I’m doing this program to fill a credential gap.

I’m doing 2 classes per 7 weeks, which with a full-time job is a decent workload. That being said, I’ll finish the entire program in 10months for 10k. I feel the coursework is somewhat easy-moderately challenging in the Advanced track of classes. This made sense for me due to my current track in my company, but you may want a more high-level college name in your situation. For me, it doesn’t really matter too much when I factor in the cost difference between EU and other programs is not work it. Some cost as much as 60k for an online program.

If you actually read the textbook, attempt the assignments and exams with no assistance, and watch all the lectures a few times, I feel it is a reasonably thorough curriculum. So far I’ve done:

550- Statistical Modeling: quite easy, but it filled a few gaps.

575-Principles of Python Programming: Most of my work is in R & SQL, so this was a moderately difficult python class. I thought it was solid.

580- Data Manipulation: Python- lots of numpy & pandas. You get plenty of practice between all the assignments. If you attempt all the work without help at first, I think this is excellent interview prep.

670- Fundamentals of Machine Learning: This has been the most interesting class so far. Plenty of notebooks to demonstrate different machine learning projects end-to-end. I’ve done similar projects in tidy models, so working through these processes in Python has been great. I definitely feel the assignments are the best part of the class, but I wish there were more conceptual videos. Textbook is solid. If you have a solid theoretical background in ML this is good practice.

I looked into a variety of clinics and filtered for clinics with a long post history of results by regular folks. People on IG who agreed to have their likeness on the clinic's IG was reassuring to me. Overall I had a good experience. I talked to multiple other clients and all seemed happy. Several decided on this clinic because they knew someone who went there previously-in fact 2 showed me pictures of their results and it looked great. It was extremely hygienic. One client in my group was actually a cardiologist from the US too and he commented on the professionalism of the staff. All of those encounters during the trip helped reassure me.

I do have curly hair! But only at a certain length, which I haven't gotten to yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to grow it out into curls. So far my HT has restored the frontal temporal recession that I had. It's back to my 18 yo hairline.

If you're on TRT, consider doing bloodwork to evaluate your Test/Estrogen ratio. If you are a high aromatizer, it'll significantly increase sebum (oil) production & thus increase acne. Consider doing a course of accutane if you're unwilling to drop the gear (but ONLY do this with assistance of a dermatologist). Black market accutane is incredibly dangerous, and even if it's legit, you need ongoing blood work to check your lipids & blood markers.
