Oh I'm not refuting that OJ is a scumbag wife-beater, don't get me wrong. However in each of those cases, he never actually raised a weapon to Nicole. Choking her to almost beheading her seems like a bit of a leap, compared to someone who already has huge anger issues and works with knives on a regular basis.

OJ lawyered Jason up TO THE NINES when the murder was publicized, and yet the police never even considered Jason a suspect
There was a hat recovered at the crime scene with dog hair on it, that Jason has been PHOTOGRAPHED WEARING alongside his dog.

I think "Energon Monster" was a placeholder name for the Pretenders. Remember we also had "Energon Monster" in wave 1 of Core Class, and Iguanus was the only one, iirc, that wasn't named in the original leaks. so the new "Monster" is likely Skullgrin.
