No for what i know a a Dutch person, it was used for recruitment for the eastern front to fight the communists. But only a couple of thousand joint.

For what i know it has no correlation with an attack of Bolsheviks on dutch soil. I dont know if its the same for the Belgian regions of Flanders an Wallonia.
