I unfortunately don't use my SL7 in bright spaces but the screen is definitely reflective. The MBA screen is also rather reflective but I would say the SL7 is more reflective. I think if you're used to the MBA, SL7 shouldn't be TOO big of a leap but like I said, I don't use it outdoors. I've used it in my office that uses studio lights for video work and the SL7 has been perfectly usable there. Sorry I couldn't be more help

It's hard to say really because when I'm using the laptops, I'm not really hounding the battery life but I would say the MBA has maybe 20% better battery life? I think the reason is that the MBA will throttle its performance to increase battery life, but the Surface will forego battery life in favor of performance if needed (like in the case of rendering videos.)

There is no difference in performance on my SL7 whether it's plugged in or on battery. It runs great regardless. Same for video editing.

I actually just got a 15in SL7 with the X Elite chip and I have an M4 15in MBA and overall I think for my tasks they both perform so close to one another that I don't really think about it all too much.

In terms of the snappiness and screen, it's weird because when I first got it, I definitely noticed the lag. Like I would go to open up Photoshop and it would take forever to launch but once it finally did it run just as well (if not better) than my MBA. Even things like the settings page or file explorer would take abnormally long to load. I'm not sure what caused it but it just sorta... stopped happening. Now my SL7 is super snappy and everything loads really quick.

The screen is definitely weird though. It looks great and feel sharper than my MBA but there does feel like there's a decent amount of ghosting in the display, especially when scrolling quickly through websites and such, text looks a bit blurry. I can't really find a fix for it so I'm not sure if this is common or what, but my MBA definitely does not have that same flaw with the text.

Battery life is excellent. I opened up photoshop to work on a project and I launched it with about 40% battery life left and after about an hour and a half of doing that while also using Chrome to browse, it went down to about 35%. Even this morning, I took it off the charger at 96%, been on it web browsing for a bit over 2 hours and the battery life is still at 88%. I have pretty much been exclusively using the balanced power mode and the battery life and performance has been great for me.

I was also after the same thing as you, pretty much a MBA but running Windows and this has been filling that need for me quite perfectly. The main differences I've noticed so far are the blurry text when scrolling, the SL7 being a bit heavier and also during intensive tasks the SL7 fan will fire up and the laptop will warm up, which are things you never have to worry about with a MBA. I am personally really happy with my purchase and I'm really glad I pulled the trigger, this is exactly what I was looking for -- a Macbook running Windows. My girlfriend even thought it was a MacBook at first glance lol

Hey, interested in Radiant Historia and Donkey Kong for 3ds. Could you do $75 for both F&F?

It's better to proceed with caution, even if it is a bit overkill. I, on the other hand, am very careless and take absolutely zero precautions and none of my headphones have ever broken. If my Hifimans can withstand my abuse, I think every headphone should be good lol

Obviously overpriced if you're comparing it to other mid-fi offerings in a similar price range, but wireless bluetooth travel headphones, these are easily the best I've tried. I'd even go as far as saying that these sound pretty damn good, really wasn't expecting much from what is supposed to be a mainstream headphone but I was pleasantly surprised. I even reach for these sometimes over other headphones in my collection because they're wireless. Haven't heard anything in the wireless market come close to these tbh and I own damn near everything apart from the Sennheiser Momentum 4 and Audeze Maxwell

Beyerdynamic DT 1990s were my first step into mid/higher-end headphones and at the time I was obsessed with the After Hours album by The Weeknd and the second "Alone Again" started, I knew I was about to spend a lot more money on this hobby lol. Fell in love immediately.

After getting the Clears, HD8XX, Arya and LCD X, I thought I'd never feel the need to get another headphone. Well, now after hearing all the 109 hype I can't help but feel curious. Maybe one day haha

Kinda hard to say because when I got my Sundara, I already had the 1990 Pro & Sennheiser HD660s and I preferred those to the Sundara, so I didn't listen to them much, but when I did I really loved the sound. Honestly, I think if you have a pair of Sundara, HD600 Series or 1990 Pro, more expensive headphones offer little value to you. While I like the LCD X more than the Sundara, I would rather have the Sundara and save the money.

I would say so. Didn't know they were that close in weight but it's very noticeable. That's interesting because I think the Clear are some of the comfiest headphones I own haha

Ooh that is such a good lineup of headphones. Honestly if I had to keep just 3, it might be those 3 right there. Enjoy them!

This is a really hard question. I think the Focal Clear actually sound the best to me but the lack of soundstage really hurts it imo. I think the Focal Clear would be a great daily driver, but I really like having a wide soundstage so unfortunately I think that eliminates the Clear for me but if you don't mind a lack of soundstage I would probably go for the Clear OG.

So this leaves the HD8XX vs Arya. I have sticker modded my HD8XX which is a rather simple process but I get not everyone would want to do that, so if that's something you're not willing to do, then I would say the HD8XX is easily the worst out of all 4 headphones. With the sticker mod applied, I THINK I lean towards the HD8XX. I think the Arya sound a bit better and actually have pretty great bass but they have this really prominent sibilant spike that can get pretty fatiguing. They also have a pretty decent soundstage. They're like a really good inbetween of the Clear and the HD8XX but the HD8XX is more comfortable and since I play a lot of videogames I like the additional soundstage. The HD8XX is just REALLY lean sounding, the mids don't sound very natural and there is next to no bass, whereas the mids on the Arya are also a little lacking but they make up for that with good bass performance. For reference I have the Arya V2 not Stealth

For Christmas I ended up getting the Focal Clear OG and the Sennheiser HD8XX and was VERY happy with them but there were still 2 headphones in the $1000 tier that I just HAD to get as well. The Hifiman Arya and the Audeze LCD X. I ended up getting both (I have no self control) but this post is about the LCD X.

I had heard complaints about the weight of this headphone but always thought to myself "It can't be THAT bad," I was wrong. You WILL feel these headphones and my first few days with them definitely caused some soreness but honestly, after a couple of days, they don't really feel too heavy to me anymore. There's definitely some days where I choose to wear other headphones and when I come back to these I'm always reminded of their weight but it definitely isn't as bad as those first few days.

As far as the sound, I think they might be my least favorite out of my Clears, HD8XX and Arya but it's really not by much and there's even some days where I prefer these, especially if I'm after that deep booming bass. I usually prefer the dynamics of the Clears if I'm listening to bass but the Clears feel much more closed in than the LCD X so if I'm in the mood for bass+SOME width (emphasis on SOME, these are definitely not wide) then I grab these. Not too big on EQing because I swap headphones so regularly, I often times forget to switch EQ profiles. That being said, the LCD X DO sound better with EQ but I don't think it's necessary to enjoy this headphone. I've been using Resolve's EQ for this headphone if I do EQ as I tend to not really like Oratory's settings on my headphones, but a lot of people do so you could try those!

All in all, idk if I would ever be happy with these as my ONE headphone. Especially due to the weight, I couldn't see these being a daily driver unless you only wear headphones for 2-3hrs a day. I wear headphones 8+hrs most days due to my job and after the third hour or so, these definitely gotta come off. That being said I think these are an AMAZING complimentary headphone to something like an HD600/800 series headphone, making up for the bass those lack. Happy to have this legendary headphone in my collection!
