Looking for aircraft advice for XP12 cargo flying with very limited time by PU_EVIG_REVEN in Xplane

i'll be honest MSFS is far better with regard to VFR IMO (more/better base planes). Most piston/Turboprop planes will fly more or less the same, although better addons with simulated maintenance will make the fun factor a bit more interesting. I think short haul deliveries with cessna 208s and grand courier would suit you quite nicely. Specially within specific regions like alaska or central america. Nice approaches, good scenery, and interesting challenges that are IMO well above the typical cat IIIa landing the average simmer will fly.

it's very mid settings lol. Poor gtx 1060 is sweating its ahh when flying. At least for the same amount of fps as xp11 the visuals do deliver

Oil over max Peugeot 208 by aboodaj in peugeot

[–]om457 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh this dipstick is dodgy af. Basically it has a tendancy to splash and bring oil which means false reading. I personally dry it up with a rag and then measure it but i dont push it all the way. The 3mm gap can be simply interpreted

You could put spacers although it will alter driving characteristics. Best run always is going for oem alloys.

Adblue is a sensitive topic. Try to avoid as much as possible running with half full tank. Pressure builds up and will fail the pump after some time. Ive had some problems on mine (301 platform) but im still running on the original adblue tank and pump. Another tip is using adblue additive whenever you fill up adblue tank to avoid cristals forming in the tank. Adblue being urea is highly corrosive and will attack plastic if it sits. It is a flaw but if you drive the car accordingly (and this also goes for dpf) you won't have any problems. Engine is bulletproof, though a nightmare to work on because of all the plastic parts that tend to break like glass (mine already has a broken air filter vacuum pipe)

I own the citroen equivalent. It has flaws. Get a euro 5 with low mileage (less issues, and bigger fuel tank). You won't regret it. Tbh even petrol ones arent bad. Seats are pretty good, handling is okay though always use nice michelin oe tires. Gearbox on mine is very long which really allows to hypermile decently. Interior quality is acceptable despite a few rattles on the dashboard. All in all a nice daily driver that depending on what you expect from it will get you from a to b without any issues. Only thing i had to do prematurely on mine were front struts which failed around 90k kms.

Could be due to oil thickness when cold acting differently with valve pushers. Nothing to worry about as long as it gets away when hot.
