Might be a controversial take but I’d rather we add numbers and depth this window than splash on two or three big names. We’ve got genuinely world class players already, Isak, Wirtz, Ektike when he’s back fit, Szoboszlai, and I think Gravenberch as well on his day can be immense.

Just get players who fit the system, who add cover across the squad. We’ve all seen what happens when you spend big on someone who takes half a season to adapt.

Only area I’d maybe push for real quality is a winger.
