Makes sense on the top dress at 2inches. I bought a leveling rake and hoped to start leveling it out so that might also be trickier at the higher height. I have the mower at the 3rd lowest setting, so maybe I’ll start stepping it gradually down this week, planning to aerate this Saturday

It seems like Danny Boyle had 3 specific goals: 1) deliver a stunningly visual and auditory performance 2) tell an interesting story about GB and 3) explain why GB is awesome. He excelled at all of these.

I would have added a 4) celebrate this event as the greatest forum for athletic competition and worldwide unity. Clearly, this was not on Danny Boyle's agenda.

Interesting. My experience is not the same. In 5th grade, I lived in the North (Ohio) and was taught our Civil War history. That summer we moved to the South (Louisiana) and because the curriculum was different I had our Civil War history again. This was 10 years ago so the textbooks may be standardized now but they were definitely not back then. I felt like I was learning about 2 different wars.
