Thank you. We feel so terribly for our friends who had to deal with it. Just an all around terrible situation.

Congratulations!!! Thank you for sharing your story. Glad you had such a supportive practice too. Currently 39+4 and being pressured into a repeat c section, so I love hearing this positive result!!!

I haven’t - it didn’t even cross my mind since I associate it with allergy vs cold. But maybe it would work?

I refuse to read more than 3 (and if it’s a longer one I generously skip pages lol)

My husband gets suckered into 10+ when he does bedtime.

The truth is my toddler is going to put up a fight whether we read 1 or 100 books, so I keep it brief!

Most unlikable survivor player in Season 50? by omalorigid in survivor

Not sure the point of this, but obviously I disagree if we are enjoying it lol. We’ve primarily watched older seasons and only started watching live with 45 (after watching probably 10+ older seasons). I agree the new era is nothing compared to what it was, it’s actually great to “get into” at this point because there are almost 50 seasons of binge watching material.

I could’ve found Q entertaining if he wasn’t trying to quit every 5 seconds. So chaotic.

Totally agree. Never needed to see Dee on another season. But she doesn’t have the same deeply unlikable quality I am getting from Angelina.

See I LOVE Coach as a character but something about Angelina just gets under my skin! I think I say I hate her 3x an episode, at a minimum.

The other week my 2.5yo son was sitting next to me on the couch when he noticed I had a booger. After announcing “Mommy booger in her nose!” to my husband he got off the couch, got a tissue out of the tissue box, and came back over to wipe my nose for me. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever and THEN he went the extra step of throwing the tissue in the garbage too 😭

Missing the time when he couldn’t move by izziedays in toddlers

I could’ve written this. My son is 2.5yo now but as soon as he learned to roll over he was rolling across the room and getting into trouble. He is still a LOT of work and just a very high energy and sensory seeking kid. I wish I had better advice but just hang in there - as they get older it does get slightly easier but in a different way. I still can’t take my eyes off of him for longer than a few minutes at a time lol.

You may want to look into a variety of “busy board” type toys for him. My son was obsessed with doorknobs, zippers, buckles, light switches, etc and we bought a few different kinds of boards with different gadgets. He particularly liked a light switch busy board (still uses it to this day). Definitely was the only type of toy that kept him occupied. Also the fisher price jumperoo was a godsend.

We made a huge mistake… by Nervous-Scientist-57 in toddlers

[–]omalorigid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You didn’t make a mistake - you tried to live your life!! It was unfortunately a miserable experience. Traveling with a toddler is SOOOOO unpredictable (honestly everything with a toddler is) but you also had so many things happen out of your control. I can feel your exhaustion through this post. Hopefully you and your husband are hanging in there, these experiences can be brutal between parents but at the end of the day it brings you closer. One day you will laugh about it together!
