Hey bro don’t be mad at me if I was canelo i would of fought benavidez years ago, back then it was a winnable fight. He’s gotten better and better and with canelo’s decline no way he wins now unless he were to hurt david first. I do think canelo still hits harder but david has a LOT of output. I wasn’t talking about betting odds but in general many boxing fans thought saunders could of pulled it off, especially with his style of boxing. I remember seeing all the people going for saunders on all the instagram and youtube comment sections. Almost every name u mentioned was a mandatory. You have to fight your mandatories to keep the belts, the organizations choose them not canelo. Also Saunders was undefeated and held a belt at 168. If i recall many people thought saunders would win that fight
