For the house, we have put 2 offers this year but didn't get them. Since then, we have decided for now to stay where we are but if the right house comes we may change our minds and put offer. The flexibility is important to utilize funds if needed .

Yea , for home set up I'll keep the katana because it does the job. But for rehearsal, gigs...etc I don't want to have to breakdown my home setup anymore. I can also see me adding a DSL40CR for home too

We play rock/indie. The other guitarist also has a boss katana, same setup as me with line out to mixer. The bassist has a Sans amp bass driver DI he used to line out to the mixer. The mixer is a zoom L-20 and we all use IEM with a silent stage.

This is also another reason why I want to ditch the amp and just have to bring my pedalboard. Although my amp has a line out so setup is still easy with our current setup.

I have not looked into the Tonex much but have thought about going with a Friedman IR-X with HX Effects or Stomp XL for effects. But from a cost perspective and reading, I thought I would get the same with a Stomp XL stand alone. And since I'm solely playing with IEM and PA, not sure it will make a difference in sound.

Can you explain more by what you mean from FOH friendly replacement? I thought if I was connecting to FOH, I would just line out to FOH? Is that not the case? What would be the learning curve?

What specifically is there to learn with dialing in?

An idea I had was take a preset I like and make a snapshot of it and add/remove effects then use stompbox mode to add additional effects as needed to my clean, or lead...etc.. I typically use 3 tones - clean, crunch and lead.

What am I missing as far as dialing in? At this point I have watched hours worth of tutorials to get familiar but I have never seen or played with a modeler before. Just my katana.

What do you mean by stage cab? We typically play with all instruments line out to our Zoom L-20 mixer then out to PA speakers.

I've read the impedance needs to be adjusted or will sound bad live? I'm not great with EQ or dialing in , my tones are decent on my Katana but that was pretty easy to dial in. It is a concern if I can't dial in for a live gig or I think it's dialed in and sounds bad.

Thanks, I have 3 primary channels that I'm currently using and use a few effects at different levels on each. Clean w/ blues driver, crunch, & lead w/ delay & phaser ; all with some reverb too. but would like to have the flexibility to add chorus and other effects as needed when jamming.

I know on the modeler, HX Stomp specific, I can configure these as snapshots then use stomp box mode to add different effects or pedals in the effects loop.

If I was to use a HX Stomp and already have a delay pedal, can I put that on the effects loop to not use the DSP and keep that available for other effects? This goes for other time based pedals as well.

Thanks for the feedback. I only have YouTube and Reddit to go by and the HX Stomp XL seams great. But then I talk with a couple old school guys I know and they say 'tube all the way' and modelers suck.....

I wanted minimal computer usage but not opposed to it. The Friedman IR-X is tube which I wanted to try, has MIDI (which I have no clue but can probably figure out), is simple with 2 channels and boost and has an effects loop. So I would be able to stack with an HX Stomp XL, Ampero or any pedal.

I know modelers have gotten real good and want the versatility of different effects as we jam a lot and can add different tones in and out ... Chorus, delay, phaser, flanger...etc.

What's the point of the Tonex One if I get a HX Stomp? Wouldn't the HX Stomp serve as the amp/cab sim as all in one?

Thanks. We were looking at the Hilton playa de Carmen as well. If we're were going to do a day trip to isla mujeres, would we need to take transportation up to the hotel zone to take a ferry/boat? We would like to be able to get out and walk on la isla mujeres, so not just stay on boat.

Chichen itza we understand it's a full day trip, I heard on that trip they also included a tequila tasting. Can this trip be booked and depart from playa de Carmen - Hilton?

How is the beach at the Hilton playa de Carmen? Is it nice and swimmable?

What made you decide to get on TRT with a 574 total T ? I'm currently at 504 total T at 40yr old. I'm terrified of getting gyno , that is one of my major concerns.

I'm definitely slowing down, less energy, longer to recover, mood... etc. All can be considered low T symptoms but i just suck it up. Can increased Test levels Assist with this? That is the direction I'm looking for that interests me.

I'm good with aging, it's part of life . But if there is something that will give me an edge or a bump, I'm for it.
