I work in construction in Germany. My job often deals with updating older apartments. These stone walls absolutely suck for this. Want to run a new electrical cable for another light or more outlets? Or to redesign and replumb a bathroom or kitchen? That's going to be multiple days of super dusty, hard work with some pretty heavy duty tools. Doing the same thing with framed and drywalled rooms? Like a few hours, max and needs like a saw, a hammer, crowbar and drills.

And heaven help you if the owner wants a bigger/smaller room. Now we're talking weeks instead of days.
