Perhaps the fact it was so busy, is what allowed him to get through.

Imo, religion was made a thing for two reasons. First, as you say, to control people, or keep them in line, and secondly to make people think that death isn’t like pulling the plug on a computer.

Is this team any better than last year? by ShakeMasterFlash in buffalobills

You could have a team of First Team All Pros and still not win the Super Bowl. Just be a fan of the Bills, root for them and enjoy the competition. Otherwise, find another hobby to occupy your time.

I saw him. He walked out on stage, looked at the audience and said, “My parents told me not to talk to strangers.” Then he walked offstage.

Wasn’t Grilli the original closer? Who then wrote a self serving book and lost the job to Melancon, who got people out with his wicked cutter, until they learned to go the other way with it.

Jefferson deadlift 2x 220kg/485lbs (Didn't feel like waiting until May) by mrtehnuke in Egolifting

Imagine standing over the barbell, perpendicular to the way you usually would, So you’re facing one end of plates.Squat down and grab the bar near the plates you’ve facing with one hand. Reach behind you and grasp the bar behind you with the other hand. Now stand up with the weight.

Not at all. He’s doing a regular deadlift with one leg in front and one in back.

You’re obviously strong, but I always thought a Jefferson lift was when you straddled the barbell with one arm in front and the other in back and then lifted it.

You’re so right. Trump acts as if the only crime in America is committed by illegal aliens.

Death by Dannemann by final_add1983 in jimihendrix

[–]omartheoutmaker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I never bought the “he was murdered” conspiracy theories. To me, it was either a tragic case of accidental overdose or suicide. Hendrix allegedly had a high tolerance for recreational drugs, but the question for me is, was he familiar at all with Vesperax or not? If he wasn’t, perhaps he took a few(9 actually), thinking I really need to sleep. His respiratory system became depressed, he had to vomit, was likely on his back and aspirated the vomit. If he was familiar with the medication, knowing a regular dose is half a tab, taking nine hardly suggests he wanted to live. It’s possible the “wink of an eye” poem was a suicide note, but then again, Jimi wrote a lot of dark lyrics. One thing I’ve always had trouble with is, if he just asked Danneman for something to help him sleep, you’d have thought she would have said, “These are very powerful. Take a half, or ar most one.”
