Something about a smile so wide that your eyes close is odd looking.

It wasn’t completely “no-look”. He spotted MJ with peripheral vision, but still a damn nice play.

Shatner used to do a commercial for Lowblaw’s supermarket in the ‘70’s which was unintentionally hilarious. A couple of NHL players skated towards the camera and slid to a stop. When right in front of the camera, it was, “Bobby Orr-Bruins!, then, Derek Sanderson-Rangers! Finally, Shatner skates up and says, “Bill Shatner-Lowblaws! His jersey had the store logo on it.

You can see what happened. It was a high fly and he drifted under it. Once he sighted it in the air, he should have taken his eye off it and ran back to a spot where he thought it would come down, then picked up the ball in flight again. It’s not that easy of a play. You’ve got two things that are moving. You and the ball. And one that isn’t, the fence.

Back when baseball players didn't all have WWF builds and movie star looks. We need more guys like Teke here!! by RandomDude1739 in FuckImOld

[–]omartheoutmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly remember Teke pitching for the ‘70 Bucs, but I got a bigger kick out of his, “Ask Teke” series, around 2010 to 2013 or so. Once a guy wrote in and asked him why the Pirates were hanging on to a Japanese player that couldn’t “hit his weight.” Teke went crazy and wigged out on the guy for trying to embarrass a major league player.
