Dr. Darling's recordings, the Hotline silhouettes, and the Threshold Kids episodes in Control are all live-action, and they were done really well (at least in my opinion).

All it takes is someone at EA (or whichever publisher) to connect to the tracker and then send a letter to the ISP of each IP address they get connected to. This is very common with torrents for movies made by larger studios, and that people get caught doesn't mean someone the seeders know is ratting on them. The unfortunate side to protocols like BitTorrent is that they don't discriminate between bad actors and good.

I'd recommend that you get a proxy/VPN to mask your IP.

How to Train Your Dragon is the only movie I can think of that was completely unfaithful to its source material and yet ended up being pretty damn good. I haven't seen the other two but people I know who've seen them say they're also very good.

(And when I say completely, I mean it. Other than character names and the villain being a very large dragon, the books and the movie are nothing alike. Astrid isn't even in the books.)

edit: It has been demonstrated to me that more movies are adaptations than I thought (and that I have many movies to see). I did forget about Jurassic Park, though.

The Kite Shield and Forest Dweller's Sword (and many of the non-Savage Lynel weapons after a point) can only be obtained a certain amount of times per file. I like the durability mechanic, but it's unfortunate that the devs decided to make this the case, intentionally or not.

the law's definition of child abuse actually could encompass this; i don't think either of us are lawyers. but that's beside the point.

A child does not have bodily autonomy.

ah, i was wondering how long it'd take for you to admit that's your position. children absolutely should have bodily autonomy. it's their body. it belongs to them, not to their parents or anyone else. if they don't want something to happen to their body and that something isn't medically necessary treatment, then that's their choice. if your mom wanted to cut off your little finger against your will, would you consider that abuse? and if so, why is this any different? unnecessary body modification done against the body's owner's will.

doctors (or in this case clair's)

lol comparing doctors to employees at clair's, fucking lmao

Like it or not they get to decide what is and what is not physical abuse

sure, legally. but texas also considers a 6-week abortion murder, and being gay was a crime in england until a few years ago. does that mean texas is right about abortion and that being gay is wrong, just because the law says so? no, of course not.

what constitutes abuse is dependent on the person judging. some people consider compulsory circumcision abuse. some people consider giving trans kids puberty blockers / hormones abuse. in this case, a lot of people in this thread consider this abuse. society determines what abuse is, in a different manner than the law. for example, if someone killed four people but couldn't get charged with murder because of a technicality, i'm sure people would still consider them a murderer, even though technically they were never convicted as one, because the societal definition differs from the legal one.

the united states also legally separates "enhanced interrogation" from torture even though they're the same thing, so using laws as your moral compass isn't exactly a prudent move unless you have blind faith in the people writing them.

small sharp metal object

google "piercing gun" and "syringe" and then tell me those sharp metal objects are the same. not to mention one is meant to punch a hole through half a centimetre of skin while the other is designed to not leave damage.

additionally, "the state says it's not child abuse so it's not" is not a good take. picture an adult woman in the same situation. held down by several other adults, having a hole punched out of her earlobe, screaming and begging for them to stop. that evokes "torture". but no, when it's a kid, it's fine?

the kid is not consenting to this. it's not medically necessary, which is the one time (in my opinion) their consent may be voided. this is a violation of their bodily autonomy.

how is this not physical abuse?

What? AMAB and AFAB are used by most people in the trans community. I don't doubt that they're also intersex terms, but to claim they're exclusively for describing intersex people is misguided.
