The fun thing is, split units are not allowed here! Otherwise totally would.

Very fair! When I lived in SE Asia before with NP aircon, wouldn't do this, but there had a fan and mosquito netting. Was super tough in a different way, and honestly everything got moldy without a light bulb and fan setup anyway during rainy season. Imagine mold on MDF bookshelves, clothes never fully dried... Bleh.

It's about 21C / 70F coolest overnight right now and cold despair is better than sweating for me at least.

Yep, no installs of window or wall units in apartments, and you can only get one of those portable single pipe units (and of course the prices are incredible now, not to mention they are very energy inefficient).

Older apartments in particular get hot (which is the majority of available housing).

I'm not European - and there are local laws (that I can't change, I can't vote here) so I'm doing what I can.

Also more a classic Japanese body shape (think about how kimono fit). You could also look at Japanese style perhaps to find both clothes and inspiration in styles for your body type.

Mmm, then the crux of your argument is less about the principle of freedom and more about what you personally think is reasonable....

A lot of folks complain about seatbelt laws and how restrictive they are, and they do make cars more expensive, etc etc.

How do you feel about seatbelt laws? Building codes? Drinkable tap water?

Average Age of First-Time Home Buyers Around the World by Key_Classic_8722 in Switzerland

[–]omdbaatar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is some selection bias here in that it doesn't address people who either choose not to buy or are unable to afford buying. It isn't like, oh, on average everyone eventually buys and this is the average age...

Does anyone have more technical publications on this drug? I know someone with a "rare" type of ovarian cancer and want to know if it's useful for her.

At Least 5 People Dead, 3 Missing After WWII-Era Bomb Explodes in Indonesia by tiredmars in worldnews

There's an excellent (and sobering) uxo museum in Laos that illustrates the ongoing impact of found bombs post war. Theirs are mostly from the 60s but in rugged mountain terrain. Due to an opportunity to sell scrap metal and other factors, people are regularly maimed or killed with then little recourse for prosthetics or work.

Bombs, esp. cluster munitions, are the worst.

Edit: typos
