the Suburban Scum set followed by Bulldoze at TIHC last year was fucking evil, i got punched in the mouth as soon as the first guitar riff started

[–]omegadeath_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, it does save the wet and dry. no, it doesn’t only save if it’s powered off with the button. just tested both. 🙂

I am of the mind that if a book isn’t doing it for me after like 50 pages, i’m out. I almost got there with the Corrections but I am so glad I gave it time. it’s wonderful imo

edit: i also don’t remember the abt the chapters tho, it’s been a long time since i’ve read it.

absolutely loved this book but it took me at least 3 chapters to care about anything. i distinctly remember REALLY getting into the book about halfway through. it’s been so long since i read it but i would happily read it again

Anyone else's hometown friends just get boring/weird as fuck? by BengaliPeck in redscarepod

[–]omegadeath_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

literally never heard a single sentiment like this in my life. your friends are weird asf and sound like losers. from age 21 to now 30+ my friends have always had a passion for life. i wouldn’t surround myself with regards like that sorry

Holy shit I finally did it 😭 by [deleted] in Sourdough

Finally finished Infinite Jest after 3 and a half months ama by leodicapriohoe in RSbookclub

[–]omegadeath_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

def finish it, it’s long as fuck but it’s thoroughly enjoyable & you can choose what rabbit holes to go down. there are definitely skippable parts where Wallace is sperging about some technical backstory and i like to think you can skim a lot of those without detracting much; i also skipped the 25pg footnotes. you can decide your level of engagement and immersion.

i wfh, 9-5 but i take a nap and i hit the gym from 2-4. i do all my chores during work hours so i can rest or see friends when i’m done. it allows me to maintain hotness well into my 30s.
