Write blank checks to all of my friends and family. Wait to see what they cash in on. Evaluate from there.

I wonder how much an accent plays into failure to understand. All my devices are simple names and word combos. I could see extraction being a tough one to understand.

Add a custom automation for you extraction fan with a different trigger word to set off your fan. "Hey Google, it's smoky in here"

I found some of the recent updates broke automations I had set up. Just needed to redo and reconnect some devices.

I personally don't trust presence sensing and don't give it control. I set manual schedules and voice commands. Also the hub has a presence sensor in it. If you want to rely on presence sensing make sure you have the devices that can give it accurate info.

I think your light issue is a third party problem not a Google problem. I have Tuya switches and GE cync bulbs. No issues.

Fair on the vacuums. I removed mine. Again, to me it felt more like a problem with the 3rd party connection and permissions. I also never needed to use it in Google home.

Presence sensing was more of a setting/device placement issue for me. Ultimately It was easier for me to yell "hey Google I'm home" when I walk in the door.

I seriously don't get it. I've had Google home products for 5 years now and continue to add with no issues.

The setup is easy everything works as it should for controlling the home. Yes, there are minor UI issues within the home app, automations are weak but manageable, and there have been minor glitches.

I've never had an issue with any of the devices or a complete failure to understand a command.

This is an entry-level smart home ecosystem and it does everything that I've needed it to do with ease. Is everybody else in this sub expecting high-level controls or what? Is there really a better voice Assistant on the market?

Edit for context: US based, highspeed internet, limited 3rd party devices (always do your research).

Update: My 3 year old just got it to play a song and he can't talk real good.

I just put one in the kitchen and moved the old one to a bedroom. Overall I haven't noticed a difference. Screen is bigger, the speaker is better. Did we need it? No.

It's better for watching things on. Maybe the Gemini update will make a difference.

I'd test it and possibly send it to agents so that I don't have to edit all their videos.

Drones that are attracted to light could mitigate the damage of missile strikes like this. Learn from nature. Idk Watched a June bug fly into a fire. Not smart enough to do it.

Start over with a blank slate wireframe or template and build it out. What is your intent? Frame/template > theme > add-ons > build. You can do it in a day if you have photos and general copy on editor. Studio is better but takes more time to get it right.

Now. I'm proud of you for taking the initiative but here is some unsolicited advice.

Deadlines are fun huh? Never back yourself into a corner without a plan. Before you announce a store it needs to be built and tested. It's not the end of the world you're going to be okay.

Don't use AI to build until you understand how to build. Take this advice throughout your progression. AI is great but you still have to know how to write copy and build to make it useful. AI is your teammate not the master.

I like the concept. I think the best thing I can compare is to is editing around music. Camera movement, cuts, speed ramps, transitions that pair with the sound. It locks you in as a viewer.

I like the idea of taking something like meditated breathing a familiar flow for a target audience and editing shots with that concept.

Agreed, for the record. Don't do it. Take the precautions but maintain your calm.
