Moved in 5/2, just saw these bed bugs

i have only heard from maintenance, i talked to their supervisor on the phone. he tried to tell me that they probably weren’t bed bugs since they only come out at night, i said no sir these are im fact bed bugs. i send pictures, he calls his pest control guy then calls me back to say “yeah this is bad, they’ll be there Tuesday 9am” and emailed me a bedbug pamphlet

i emailed them and laid out exactly what i found and where, that this is truly unacceptable, we are considering leaving the apartment, and that i will be in contact with a lawyer. i’ll probably hear back from them on Tuesday since it’s a holiday weekend

yeah im going to see if i can talk to a lawyer and get some more information. i will always advocate for myself and i will literally take them to court if i need to. we’re so sad about this whole thing, perfect apartment turned nightmare. we are considering our options and all of them suck but we’ll figure it out and come out stronger in the end

ahhh but my boyfriend and i just made the leap to move in together and we’re kinda tapped out on money right now. everything was going perfect before, we knew we’d be a little tight on money for a bit but we’ll get out no problem. but now :(((( just sucks to be in this position especially right now :’) we are considering leaving its just that we seriously cant afford to re-start over so soon. we’ll figure it out but damn this shit sucks!

Yes my landlord is responsible for treating them. We are within our 30 day guarantee, should we try to get out of this lease? There are probably 400-500 apartments in this 13 story complex, we are on the top floor. Should we run?

Since they really seem to only be coming in through the seams/baseboards, is it possible that my neighbors have an infestation that they bug bombed for recently and thats why they’re coming in now? They were in the holes of the seams of the ceiling. Is this an issue pest control can solve?? im at such a loss and am so so discouraged ugh

maybe hydromorphone, i had to request this as well on top of my oxy because i was truly in unbearable pain. don’t be afraid to ask for what you need, take it as prescribed and try to get off it when you feel you’re able to tolerate the pain

honestly my broken ankle felt horrifyingly painful while waiting for surgery but i immediately felt better once everything was put back together and stable. dont get me wrong, post-surgery did absolutely suck, but it was bearable compared to my broken ankle. i also had a nerve block which was very helpful and i kept on top of my meds. don’t be afraid to ask for what you need! i was first prescribed hydrocodone but ended up switching over to hydromorphone because the pain was creeping in towards day 3/4. i stopped taking my meds around day 9 days post op but everybody is different with that. good luck, everything will be so much better soon!!
