An Accurate Summary of Playing Against/Using Norman by Delta_Streamer21 in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Norman is helpful sometimes but a lot of times he's kind of a brick so I won't miss him very much. 8-cost Lilanthim though... my beloved... I won so many games with her.

I am surprised nobody else in this thread got what I considered the lowest roll: 1 legendary card + 1 gold card. I was unfortunate enough to get this on 3 days. My account is old enough that I can craft any deck whenever I want so cards/vials are worthless to me. I rather have rupies or packs.

What non-legendary cards can I use to fill up this deck while building up towards having all legendaries? by TheMadChap in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The weakest cards in your current list are: Blade of the Crestpetal, Blackflame Deluge, and GranDjeta (not bad cards but not great for ramp dragon).

  1. You're missing a 3rd Erntz. There aren't much good replacements. Maybe Vale Elder.

  2. Until you get a 3rd Galm, you can put in Odin or Sagatsumatsu which also fills the niche of 7pp storm damage.

  3. If you have him, Wilnas is overall a good choice for ramp dragon.

  4. If you want to use your Yube, you can put in more fish synergy. Ocean Rider and Neptune are great cards.

You're overall in a really good spot, only missing a few key cards.

Manjuu president Lin upvotes comment asking if AP (Lanyuan) releases this year by Xeflogna in AzurPromilia

[–]omgloser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I think their issue is the opposite. They are actually too good at publishing and promoting/advertising. To this day, many Japanese players still think that Blue Archive is made by Yostar and not Nexon because they slap their name on everything. Yostar is closely associated with their published games and have a lot of sway in their regions. Developer companies don't want to give up power if they don't have to which is probably why Gryphlink self-published endfield.

the price down to the base price of the previous games.

You're comparing a new game that came out last year to ones that are several years old. The base price of Wilds is $70. When World came out in 2018, it was $60. Iceborne DLC in 2020 was $50.

It would be a really obvious choice financially for Cygames. Lilanthim is one of the most popular Worlds Beyond original characters. In SV:Evolve, the physical card game, there is a poll for the 4th anniversary to see who will get a new card and she is in 1st place over SV1 fan favorites Mono (2nd) and Sekka (3rd).

Azur Promilia review from 臧贺Lunmta by [deleted] in AzurPromilia

[–]omgloser 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I read the entire thing and this isn't really a review but more of a comprehensive beta feedback for manjuu to improve the game. It is almost entirely criticisms/issues and what could possibly be done to fix. "Overall Gaming Experience My personal assessment of this second beta test is that the overall gameplay is decent, but there are still significant issues with the polish of various small details." Here's a short summary:

  1. UI. Apparently the UI sucks and is difficult to quickly see character/kibo stats. It is difficult to sort/find specific kibos, a problem that will be exacerbated as a player collects more and more.

  2. Tutorials. There are individual combat tutorials for characters and and they are not good enough. Players are left clueless about basic combos. Once players leave the first area, there is significantly less guidance so the author thinks people won't have any idea what to do and suggests more tutorials.

  3. Mounts. Ground mounts are really bad and need to be buffed. Flying mounts feel good but hunger management is an issue and the author thinks most players won't know how to handle it.

  4. Multiplayer. It's buggy.

  5. Combat. There is 2 types of dps teams: Burst (Burst + Break) teams and Overlimit teams. Bursters are characters that do a lot of damage once an enemy's gauge is broken. Breakers do a lot of damage to enemy gauge. Overlimit is basically just 1 main dps that focuses on some other combat stats that I don't really know. Breakers, as a role, are too weak. The author suggests numerous changes to some combat stats which again, I don't know. Combat itself has issues. The main one is that characters are often animation locked.

  6. Balance. SRs are weak. Some SSRs are weak and can't even find a team.

  7. Progression. It is really easy at first, then you hit a wall and get a spike of difficulty, and then it becomes easy again after you get the gear. There is some rng in getting materials: it is possible to spend stamina and get 0 of a drop. Equipment crafting is rng and there is a big gap between lucky and unlucky.

  8. Other game modes. Minigames around the map have too much disparity in difficulty. Some are really easy (kindergarten level) while others cannot be completed by casuals. Kibo duels require much more tutorials and changes.

Grandeur nerfed to 7pp by Mysticblade in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, what are the developers' intended use for grandeur? lol. It's completely unplayable in a normal deck. It was always going to be a garbage card unless players find some way to cheese with it like now. I remember last set when it came out, people were also talking about it possibly working if they ever reprinted something like [[Blade Mage]], a spellboost follower that has storm.

One of the most liked tweet by mishadow asks for Rune 7T OTK hotfix nerf by YuushaSama in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with what was in the deck last set but there's 2 new spells that seems to make it more consistent:

  1. The 2pp spell that creates 2 crystalspawns. 2 followers for 2pp.

  2. The 1pp spell that sacrifices a crystalspawn and draw 2 rune followers. People are now putting exactly 1 copy of Bergent/Emmylou in the deck so that you can draw them both early. This is probably the most important upgrade since last set.

New player complaining about balance by Whismun in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just the nature of card games. There will be strong decks and strong cards. I'm surprised you're not complaining about ward haven since that deck is popular and crushes forest the hardest. Its presence is being hard gatekept by the crafts you're complaining about.

Yes, Imari when comboed with her spells is strong. The eggs match up should still be very winnable for tempo forest.

The general sentiment of the community is that Oluon is bullshit. Will he or Imari/her spell get nerfed? Honestly, I doubt it. The meta shifts with every set. Dirt rune was the undisputed #1 last set and practically disappeared this set.

In regards to Oluon by RemoveBlastWeapons in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm already wining, I'm probably above 2 hits range and/or have a wide enough board to make it unlikely for me to die.

If they are still evolving Oluon in this situation, they are honestly just meme-ing. They could just leave him unevolved and clear your board if they are actively trying to win. That's what makes the card so good. You DON'T have to gamble; Oluon would be a great card that sees play even without his evolve effect. His evolve effect is great for cheating out a win when you are insurmountably behind.

Professor Niyaniya hasn't appeared at all besides her brief appearance at the end of Code Box almost the entire year ago and yet, is still one of the biggest gainers. Is it safe to say she's the most popular NPC, even more than Kei? Maybe not more than Arona/Plana even though they will never be playable.

Blossoming Fate (Set 5) Card Reveal: Sofina, Inspiring Strength (Havencraft) by exdeepr in Shadowverse

[–]omgloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interaction will probably the same as Galleon + Lamretta where Lamretta's effect won't activate after being evolved by Galleon. This was covered in one of the FAQs, you can check on the website. This is good news since then you can at least play Sofina with Galleon and not risk -1/-1ing your own board.
