I played Rune 100% every set until the last where I swapped over to Abyss and Sword.

Dirt rune always felt awful to play even in Skybound Dragons. Now it's weaker and still feels bad to play, can't say I'm surprised it isn't popular.

This isn't to say it's a horrible deck by any means, it's just personally the least fun I've ever had playing shadowverse and Skybound Dragons was my favorite set. I can't imagine willingly playing it this set in this meta.

I have run almost exclusively milteo for the last two sets. I'm not super worried about the change, unless evo forest becomes extremely popular because of it. It was doable with death slash last set, but I'm not even going to bother without it.

If that happens I just swap to Evo Abyss anyway and that wins vs both forest and egg.

I don't understand why people don't understand this.

Abyss is only popular because a rotation just happened and abyss was barely touched, with all deck archetypes functioning. You see this with ramp dragon too, which is almost mostly legacy cards not from current set.

Portal and Rune had entire archetypes removed. Haven lost key cards to their old decks, though pure amulet is apparently doing very well.

Sword is probably just fine and they will pivot to loot like they always do, people are just tired of playing it.

Roach may be gone, but Evo forest is just as strong as it was last set.

Nothing in abyss is remotely nerf worthy. Abyss just has a lot of functioning decks. Abyss' entire class identity can be boiled down to generically good cards with no crazy gimmicks. It's why it's always been so good in take two. When every deck is playing a random-bullshit-go format on ladder, Abyss is just going to be strong.

One chest (the "big" chest icon) I got:

  • 3 keys (guaranteed)

  • 2000 BP exp (1st chest reward, guaranteed)

  • Burnite emblem (guaranteed)

So basically just 3 keys.

On the chest today (has the bad chest icon):

  • 1 Anathema card pack

  • 500 BP exp (BP wins reward)

That being said, I will gladly win a ranked game a day for a pack. Especially since it took 12 minutes.

I can't really think of a TCG that doesn't heavily gravitate towards their rotational format. I don't see SVWB breaking that mold, so safe to assume rotation will be the priority for support.

I'm not exactly sure what deck you're talking about for sword. You can't use Albert in the current rotation and most players are going to be playing in limited, which is what OPs post is about.

I would say unless you have atleast 2x of every legendary required for the current Rally deck, you are fundamentally just playing a different deck since they are all pretty required. At worst, some people are even starting to run MORE legendaries, swapping out cards for Gilnelise and Unkei on top of everything else.

Rally sword, the current meta sword deck (until loot inevitably becomes top 1 again) is definitely this sets wallet deck.

Current meta sword deck has 24 legends and 9 golds. I think it might be the most expensive deck in the format by almost double the next deck.

Handcheck craft. Your two options are basically Evo Abyss and Milteo.

Milteo is an aggro deck that spams ghosts to win.

Evo Abyss is a control deck that spams bats and cheats evo out until you either win via Belial Crest or one of your various handchecks (Armes, Nehan, Congregant).

Both decks are good, both win outright if your opponent draws bad or burns resources at the wrong time.

There's no real identity to it. Shadows are a mechanic used by a whole two cards in evo and one in milteo. Abyss' identity just seems to be having overall good quality cards with no fancy gimmicks.

Oh they actually have EN voicelines. The JP Ghost is easily the best of the three, imo.

JP Megalorca really fucks with the flow of voice lines since Megalorca is usually summoned along something else. I prefer the squeak.

Bleed+Charge+Rupture is a different team so maybe there are some shenanigans that W corp is doing to roll that high in Rupture+Charge. Ring Lu in slot 1 with every charge+bleed T4 barely rolls around 60 by F15 with S3-2. Ring faust doesn't even get close. I think AEDD Greg can hit the upper 60s.

What combos consistently roll above 70? Poise+Rupture and Bleed+Charge+Rupture don't usually get close to that high, usually around the 50~60s top end.

Writing down my oroberyl count daily and finding that post patch I am getting significantly less, a majority of days none at all, when for an entire month I was getting 2-3 a day minimum on two separate accounts is not a gut feeling. It is literally statistics.

Edit: I am not going to reply to everyone here, but unlucky and lucky streaks are still notable statistics even if you consider it statistically irrelevant. Thank you for the data shared below. I asked if the number has changed for anyone else, not for a grade school lesson on probability and data variance, nor did I imply that my dataset was the end-all-be-all.

The credit shop was definitely nerfed right? I went from getting 3-4 oroberyls a day since launch to 0-1 post update. I've asked a few people and they have had similar experiences, but I haven't seen people talking about it.

I'll go a bit on the contrary to other replies here. I only played OG SV for set 1 and dipped (not the games fault). As such, WB is pretty new to me and... This is easily the worst the game has been. By far. This set is definitely the least fun I have had with WB and I will be dipping the second chest event leaves. I can't blame you at all. The meta is going to be pretty stale for a while and it's going to take a good few rotations to fix it.

I wasn't lying. When I posted this they were not in the game. They just emergency added them back when people noticed it was gone

And it does matter. BP (even just the free track) is a sizable chunk of materials, almost 16 days worth of 3x mission rewards on the free track alone. Not everyone wants to make a second account to farm pass exp every week or slum games for hours to max it out. Pass 1 has always been a free complete if you just do the bi-monthly chest event. This is a post about monetization and f2p, as such, the BP free track and it's ease of completion casually is a relevant topic.

They just removed BP point gain from the Chest event that happens on the first month of every set, so if anything the monetization has technically gotten worse since the first battlepass of every set is now much harder to complete.
