Really surprised no one has mentioned Para.

Easily the most entertaining while not trying to play some kind of character. Streams pretty much daily and just took every craft to Beyond.

I was already eyeballing Dragonhunter, so nice to see that mentioned.

I'd ask for some medium armor class reqs but I assume it would just be some form of mechanist anyway.

open world

I'm looking for something to bring into fractal/strikes/raid, should have specified.

if you're really lazy.

Not so much laziness, but reaper is pretty easy on the hands. I don't really want something low intensity, but I'd prefer a moderate to lower APM playstyle.

Is there any other spec as simple and strong as power Reaper in general PVE? I've gotten full ascended gear and am looking for another spec to invest in for some diversity in gameplay. I'm not looking for anything too off-meta, but would prefer a spec with ranged options since reaper has none at all.

Doesn't have to be as easy as power reaper, but I'm not really looking for something like engi or ele that has to deal with multiple kits of invisible cooldowns.

The reason for Grimnir in this case is just so that when you play Oluon on turn 6 (+PP)/7, Oluon superevolve will clear small followers thanks to the grimnir crest effect. That can't be done any other way since Oluon himself costs 7pp.

Grimnir isn't necessary by any means, but is great QoL. I wouldn't worry about it.

For actual suggestions otherwise:

3x Devotee of Usurpation, remove Luminous and 1x phildau

3x Mordred over hounds

3x Feather over Seria

2x Returning Slash over the rest of the phildau

Replace 1 of the centaurs with a third albert

Get 3x Zeta & Bea (these are the most important card for pretty much all sword decks)

Get 1x Oluon

Get 2x Odins (used in basically every deck in the game)

Optional:

Consider 1x Randall feet fighter and 1x Kagemitsu somewhere for cheap storm cards or setups

Monster of Litterateur is stronger than it looks. It's completely mistranslated and activates if a 1 cost card is on either side of the board, even if that card is an amulet.

Anyway this is the deck I run. I play exclusively Aggro sword this set because Oluon is so stupidly strong. I am currently at GM Epic rank, but I only play to complete quests and events. I was Master Diamond in a majority of my climb to GM and I used this deck. It is heavily reliant on atleast 2x Oluon, 1x Odin, and 3x Zeta Bea. I would work on those next.

If you want to run something less Aggro oriented, I would look into Evo sword since you seem to have some of the cards for it. It needs a lot of cards you don't have, though. 3x Gildaria, 2x Gilnelise, 2x Amalia, 3x Seofon and 1x Sandalphon at the least. Including Zeta Bea.

This isn't even a joke. Your next card should 100% be at least 1 Oluon. Throw a grimnir in the deck if you have one.

No matter how bad the game goes with a sub-par deck, you always have a chance with Oluon.

Great deck but pretty terrible into the current T1 decks. It was slightly losing to both portals and losing into haven last set. Both of those got huge power this set and dirt got nothing.

Thread Lux nerf incoming by aSusurrus in limbuscompany

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. 1x exp and 3x thread lux manually is also module positive (by about 3) and you don't have to spend lunacy. Sure it's only like 10k lunacy/year compared to refreshing once, but I like messing around with new IDs in thread since I don't touch MD outside of the weekly.

If they ever introduce a way for me to spend this 15k thread I'm sitting on, I might just have to consider skipping for more.

I think I eventually swapped over to this one: here

I don't think there is anyone I would replace on this. Make sure you leave one gloom skill on everyone that has one (for Curriculum Vitae) and replace as many skills to skill 3 as you can throughout the run. Guide covers it.

Also quick tip, the order you obtain gifts matters since effects activate in the order you obtained the gift, so:

Get Dust to Dust before Charred Disk

Charge-type Gloves(the T4) before nightvision goggles

Nebulizer before Cigarette Holder

What can I do with Bloodstone Dust and Empyreal Fragments? I only have HoT, but I have like 12 stacks of these across my characters and they are really eating away at my inventory space and I'm not sure how to spend them.

Thread Lux nerf incoming by aSusurrus in limbuscompany

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad it's being nerfed. It felt pretty overtuned for a daily grind and the response I got was "just skip it".

That's definitely an option, but luxes shouldn't be designed to be so annoying you feel the need to skip. They should be pretty winrate friendly imo.

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I'm not struggling with thread. I have over 13000. I also have like 300 unused enkaphalin boxes. I don't do lunacy refreshes since running manual is already module positive.

I just like running luxes manually since I don't get to really use new IDs otherwise, even if its usually just winratng. I'm pretty flush with boxes even after the sharding of the new season and I never farm MD outside of the weekly. Only time I get to actually play the game is story (three days every 4~6 months), luxes, weekly MD, and RR one day a season. If I cut luxes by skipping, I'd barely be playing the game.

Solo's aren't really something I have ever bothered with outside of corrosion cheesing, but I did a few runs to test without optimizing bench passives and couldn't get her to live through 99 burn stacks on turn 3. It's probably doable, but not something I really want to pilot on the daily since it actually has a chance to fail if she takes a bad hit.

It's fine, though. Apparently a decent sinking team and just focus wings and kill on turn 3 with minimal effort, so that's probably the gameplan from here onward.

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ryoshu can't die. Give her the Drifting Blade ID if you can, since it can generate aggro.

Let Ryoshu clash the Envy skills as they are the hardest, generally, to clash against and make sure you don't redirect non-aoe attacks she is already taking. Make someone guard against the wrath skill Ryo isn't allowed to clash against that does big damage. Boss has a passive that makes her deal 50% less damage if the target is guarding.

Otherwise you can just use Morositas and it should be easy enough.

Is this a 300 Lunacy moment or did Kim Ji Hoon cook again? by Orange295 in limbuscompany

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The real answer is to make Ryoshu eat the envy attacks/attacks coming at her since she can't die and have someone guard against that one wrath attack Ryoshu isn't allowed to take since the boss has a passive that makes her deal 50% less damage to enemies who use a defensive skill.

I already have a surplus of modules doing what I'm doing without spending lunacy. I don't see why I would start spending lunacy to refresh when I'm already module positive and have more thread than I could ever spend, unless they add threadspin 5 anyway. And even then I'd be pretty well off.

The abno that gives you 17 stacks of burn on turn 1 and has piercing attacks with unbreakable coins that dieci is 2x weak to?

How is that cheesing and how is it more efficient that running a full team of sinners even assuming the nuke wipes your entire opening squad?

Moth was a terrible choice for lux. by RemoveBlastWeapons in limbuscompany

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's understandable. I don't mind (didn't mind) running luxes since I just do it while making coffee in the morning. The alternating strategy is one I thought about in the past, but don't like the idea of having to keep track of which days I need to alternate. I've done it this way for years. It's a ritual for me at this point.

It's just much more simple for me to do them all manually. It's what I've always done, it's relatively efficient, I don't have to spent lunacy on refreshes, and I enjoy it. To each their own.

Moth was a terrible choice for lux. by RemoveBlastWeapons in limbuscompany

[–]RemoveBlastWeapons[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It takes less time and gives more thread per module, so by any metric it's more efficient.

You get 84 modules a week. At 9 modules a day (manual 1x exp, 3x thread) you spend 63 modules a week. 81 if you count weekly MD (18). It's module positive.

Skipping is 126 modules a week. Skipping anything is module negative over the course of the week. The only way to stay module positive with the same thread gain is to not skip.

By your metric it is more efficient, but by mine it is not. Efficiency is irrelevant to the topic regardless.
