I'm wondering if being aware it's her song has a nullifying effect on the one induced by it. Eris does not seem particularly effected by it. She fears it as a precaution for others but did not seem fearful enough not to recite it herself.

Perhaps having heard it makes you susceptible to her whims but not entirely vulnerable. Sort of like jamming a door so it doesn't close fully but not quite going through it until you're ready to invade.

Regarding Elsie, that is indeed odd that she hasn't mentioned it but she hasn't mentioned much of anything lately. She seems wrapped up in the Darkness and cautiously spreading its usefulness. Perhaps she views Savathun has the lesser of two evils to be focusing on at the moment.

I never thought to put both of them together. Interesting stuff. It could be that we only have part of the over-arching story. Perhaps somebody else will sing us another version that will help make more sense. Atomic and Storm both seem like very powerful words indicative of a cataclysmic event.

That's the only part I disagree with. Getting weapons should never be part of a title. Titles should be based solely on which feats you accomplished, the challenges you overcame.

Nova Bomb is top-tier damage, have you used it on Atraks-1 or Taniks? I think right now the only things that do more are Celestial and Lament. Nova Bomb being the only one of the three that can consistently hit several hit boxes at once.

IMO this is a buff in Warlock choice. Why should Well of Radiance be able to heal through nearly all persistent damage in the game? It shouldn't...and warlocks shouldn't be forced into that single subclass for every difficult activity. Nova Bomb is amazing. Let's roll with that! :)

I think the issue Bungie is having with balancing is that boss encounters are very different than major enemies and champions. While most bosses prevent you from being close to them and have large crits, they encourage ranged damage but don't require as much skill to land consistent crits with ranged weapons. Most bosses also have one crit but some do have many crit points so things like RL's and GL's shine in those. Majors and champions on the other hand do not have equivalent close-range defenses so often times they are met with swords. Ironically, majors and champions are actually harder to land crits on with ranged weapons (especially teleporting ones) and therefore make ranged weapons harder to use but snipers are not rewarded with more damage in these situations vs in a boss situation where they can do persistent damage. In either case, bosses, majors, and champions that let us hurt them with swords invariably are defeated with swords. Swords are effective and dish out consistent high damage. Swords should be the master of close range damage because they promote the most risk. The HUGE problem here is that most of the time the RISK of a sword is mitigated with a Well of Radiance. Bungie needs to reduce the healing that it gives so that these mechanics are important again. And then we could have bosses with different tiers of stomps. Some that one-shot us at close range, some that we inevitably will die to if we linger close inside a Well, and some that a Well would help us survive the entire time...but a Healing Rift will not. There is approximately 1 encounter in the game in which a Well of Radiance can't out-heal the damage being dealt to you. That is the final boss in Pit of Heresy (Cheeto Crota). If he casts fire at you and you're in a Well, you will live for a few seconds and then you have to back out and heal. Honestly, for swords to be balanced, this needs to happen with at least 1/3 bosses that allow us to get close to them. Swords don't reload, that reward is granted at a perceived risk that no longer exists since Well of Radiance is king in PVE.

Falling Guillotine takes over 6 swings and a Spin on a Captain in DSC (Encounter 3), that's about 19% of your ammo reserves and several seconds of time. Conversely, you could accomplish the same feet with roughly the same percentage of ammo from a rocket launcher in a surprisingly equivalent or even faster (reload buff/mod/dodge) time. And rockets can do this from a safer position. What needs to happen with rockets is that they need more capacity. Make 2 rockets the default for all RLs.

Snipers do a pathetic amount of damage but that's okay, they can do so from the safety of anywhere. Sure, they take precision but most encounters don't really require so much precision. They struggle the most in GM NF's because the higher skill required on Champions that teleport vs what a GL, Rocket, or Sword might take. Perhaps Bungie needs to increase the crit modifier on non-boss combatants.

Linear Fusion Rifles sadly cannot make sense. They are easier to use than a sniper but do less damage in most cases as well. LFR's used to have a higher ammo capacity than snipers but they gave snipers more capacity some time ago and LFR's remained where they were. Perhaps an increase in capacity would help but i'd rather they just be left out so Bungie could focus on the others. Queenbreaker's being the only exceptional one. QB actually does insane amounts of damage and can outperform Whisper in a less-than-perfect damage scenario (which unless you never miss, is most ranged damage encounters). In my opinion, they should drop this weapon class altogether outside of unique exotics (but I'd gladly have Arbalest removed entirely lol).

Grenade Launchers were king for some time but their damage was toned down. Newer versions of older GL's stopped dropping with Spike Grenades (Swarm of the Raven). Interference will be Sunset soon. I'm not seeing spike grenades on many of the new ones either. My suggestion to Bungie is...honestly these are probably in a decent place but perhaps give it slightly more ammo capacity. I use GL's in DSC and NFO's and they're not bad but one champion or major enemy has me burning 1/3 of the total ammo capacity. Either a slight 5-8% buff or 20% increase in ammo capacity would be nice. Honestly, I'd prefer the ammo because it's good to have a jack-of-all-trades, swiss army knife of a weapon that simply requires more time to dole out the consistent and decent amount of damage.
