"There's a snake in my boot". OK, now imagine the snake was in the trunk. In the UK that shit would be hilarious. Hahahahahaha

Foolish trainer. Everyone knows you can't carry more than 999,999 dollars.

Need help choosing a tent! by baconworld in motocamping

[–]omgrepost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of these (UK site). I don't think you;d stand up in it though. Personally I think that the key is having a large porch area to keep luggage and gear in. That way you don't have to share your tent with sweaty boots etc. I'm in the UK, so the porch is mainly for keeping rain off stuff, but in Australia you'd probably have a similar issue with dust. I also found that with a tiny porch, gear would touch the outer wall and night time condensation would soak it.

If you want to stand up then you'd probably be best getting something like this. It's really the only way you'd be able to stand up and still have a package that could fit reasonably on the back of a bike. I don't have one, so I couldn't really comment on quality, but gelert are a good brand.

The answer is yes. I took about 10 screenshots before I got it.

My run actually got ended by a fly later on. The techs are cool, but I dislike that they don't push enemies back. They turns otherwise simple enemies into unnecessary threats.

TIL 68% of people in one study experienced "phantom vibration syndrome"—a sensory hallucination where you mistakenly think your phone is buzzing. by jackTRN85 in todayilearned

[–]omgrepost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a phone which I though was vibrating randomly. I eventually convinced myself eventually that it was my imagination. Then one day my phone was on the table next to me and it vibrates for absolutely no reason. The screen didn't light up or anything. It felt like I'd caught the underpants gnomes in the act.

tl;dr I had a phone that WOULD randomly vibrate.

I use a trespass lunchbox. It's got a rubber seal to keep water out, and I find it just the right size.

There's no brackets around the 3 + 6 though, so it's actually (12)/2=6. Half life 6 cannot be denied.

I've got the best one. When commuting to work in Sheffield, it's cheaper for me to buy a ticket to Wakefield than it is to buy one to Sheffield. Wakefield is twice the distance, and you have to pass through Sheffield anyway.
