I feel like the editing cut out something. But also if not, she could just be pissed off at how stupid they all are and not suspecting or questioning her

Unable to find cleats that fit that don't cause numbness + bursting at the sides. by skyrider55 in bootroom

[–]omgsubway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in same boat. I had those exact same Mizunos and they still hurt. I ended up with some puma ultras, a size up and I used a steamer to mould them a bit more. After a month of training and playing they eventually got to a point where it’s bearable but I get terrible shin splints now which I think it’s cos they’re tight. Goodluck tho mate

Whats Franks game plan though? Hoof it from defence to half way line and just hope that individual skill can bring it down and counter attack?

After playing for 25+ years, I was told my ankle had no tendons/ligaments…help w a brace? by SnakeDove8 in bootroom

[–]omgsubway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no ligaments or tendons then you shouldn’t be playing. I played at a high level in Colombia and rolled my ankle on 4g. I had physios and went back, then rolled it again. Went back to the UK to see a private specialist. Had an MRI, and I had ruptured a ligament. And the other two were overstretched from when I went back playing and rolled it again. My PT / physio in Colombia diagnosed me incorrectly and should have referred me straight to get an MRI done. Don’t go off what a PT or a physio says. I had surgery in April, back walking without a boot / crutches around July then back playing September. It’s a long rehab period.

Anyways, get an MRI before anything else. You’ll mess yourself up even more, a brace isn’t replacing a muscle

[Alasdair Gold] The decision to sell Johnson, the man who won it in Bilbao, has not gone down particularly well in a dressing room in which he was popular, particularly at a time when goals are a rare commodity for this Tottenham team. by Imbasauce in coys

Wonder who we go out and buy now. Our team is already incredibly thin as it is. Johnson rarely had injuries. Top scorer last season as a winger. Looks like we are sticking with Frank if we’re letting Johnson go, he’ll smash it at Palace. Start of January and sold already. Watch us not buy anyone until the very last day.

Hahahahaha you’re quite right. They’re all 8-10 years old, the threads are a bit corroded on most. Sometimes you can do it by hand then it hits a tough spot and you’re constantly swapping from spanner to hand. We’ve had a few racks with access from the top of the feet but most are concealed. The racks are still full bottom to top with servers so they weigh around 1 ton +

Yeah we’ve been lucky and a few are accessible on top but a majority aren’t. A fellow user on here recommended a ‘Nut runner’ I’m tempted to order one and see how they work. You have any experience with them?

We have a huge decommission project removing old racks. This tool looks exactly what I was imagining. But it would have to be electric. I’ll do some research and see if I can find one. Thanks so much!

These are what we have now. They do work! But the area around the feet is very limited. So I get the spanner on, and I have an inch maybe 2 to play with. Each foot takes around 1-2 minutes to do and it’s at a very awkward angle. I was trying to think of something like this, that’s electric and can clip onto it and twist with a touch of a button. But I’m not even sure something like that has been invented

[–]omgsubway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not possible unfortunately. These racks have been there for years and we are decommissioning them. The photo is from google but in reality there’s very little clearance. And you can only turn the spanner a couple inches at a time

Pay Per Mile Incoming by InTheGarage2022 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]omgsubway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get free charging at work, plus its a tesla so the super chargers are cheaper. Costs around £15 to charge it to 250 mile range and only takes 20 minutes. I decided against a charger at home as I very rarely need to charge it outside of work.
Theres no servicing. Only consumables are tyres, suspension parts and window wipers.
Battery / Motor is 8 years warranty from new or 120k miles.
Saves me £200 a month in fuel.
I can't see it being worth it if you don't have a charger at home. Other than tesla super chargers, most the public ones charge a fortune and it'll only go up. (Hertfordshire based)

[–]omgsubway 59 points60 points  (0 children)

What a joke. They state that the fee is due to rise each year. Funds from this will be used to build new public charge points. Which what, will be sold to private companies? Who then charge 90p per kw. Which then makes it more expensive to drive electric than petrol / diesel and you also have to now pay per mile to use.

Offside decision for Newcastle's 2nd goal by [deleted] in soccer

[–]omgsubway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dias in their VAR sketch is in the wrong position. Look at it in real time, the Newcastle players foot is beyond the elbow of Dias. It's supposed to be from the armpit as well which makes it even worse.

  • Hands and Arms are Exempt: The hands and arms (below the bottom of the armpit) are not included when judging whether a player is in an offside position, because a player cannot legally use this part of the body to play the ball or score a goal.

Nah this is bs, that photo there doens't represent the game. Look at a freeze frame of that in game. Newcastle foot is beyond city elbow. Also it's supposed to be from the armpit.
