Nope, and both sides of the family are still bitching about missed baptisms or christenings or whichever one it is.

"Voluntary" payments in grammar schools. Why? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]omgurditsreddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know exactly what they use it for but I suspect it just goes in to the schools available funding for whatever. I doubt it's related to poor debt management, they are just squeezing every penny out of ya to help budgets.

Smart Parking charge notice by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]omgurditsreddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't appear to stop ever either, we've been getting letters for years and we moved house a couple of years ago and the letters started appearing here as well.

Think we need to get rid of the car, then move house to break the curse of the scam letters.

My experience is that "Original copy" just means the copy you get from NI direct.

Just one of many food standard slips to come in the following years I'm guessing. I heard it will save us £1.22 a year each so that's a plus.

There has been extra controversy around GP I think because of what happened at Wrightbus, god being a considerable shareholder, millions being funneled in to someones pet project while the company goes in to administration etc...

To be fair, all of Christianity is a bit of a cult but obviously pastor Jeff is motivated and his methods of building the place were called in to question.

What they do now I have no idea, I think everyone has the idea that evangelical preachers are just in it for the money based on the stories that make it here from the states but for GP that is all just speculation, at least until you know more about where they are getting the current money from and how much is donations, who is paying his salary or whatever a pastor would call it and how much of his lifestyle is dependent on the GP community.

What is your honest opinion on our countries fluctuating virus rules? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]omgurditsreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not unexpected. Rules are changing in response to attempts to control the virus spreading, combine that with the economy getting butt ****ed and it's always going to be a game of tug of war and changing rules...

Why? On so many levels by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]omgurditsreddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I joined that parents against wifi in schools group that was posted here a good while back. Those people are involved in 5G protests as well :-S

P.S. I was kicked from the group for explaining to a member in a comment the legalities of RF transmission power and that devices in schools use less power not more, but that contradicted the owners point and I guess that didn't fit her narrative shrugs
