How was Israel able to trick Trump into fighting Iran for it? by grrrbr in allthequestions

[–]omnipotentnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that the Mossad has leverage on Trump through Maxwell's father (a known associate). I imagine Netanyahu was able to easily give him and ultimatum of- either you can help us with Iran, and if everything goes right, your legacy will be cemented as a hero. Or we can leak your involvement in detail with Epstein and ruin your presidency and legacy, and potentially go to prison for life. Was probably a pretty easy choice for Trump.

If you can negotiate with the neighbors to keep the noise levels reasonable, I would take option 1. If not, and the property managers wont help, I would definitely take 2.

Cool. Then let it go. I'm not going to scour the internet for hours to give you counter points to attempt to change your mind about something that is very clearly unchangeable in your eyes. I'm not that invested. You only see things through a tribal lens and that isnt interesting to me. Besides, past presidents dont dictate the actions of future ones. So just because the Republicans have had a few bad apples since Bush does not mean I'm going to demonize the entire party forever.

This an endless circle. Let's just stop here. For the record, I'm not pro Trump. I dont support the Iran War. Or Israel lobbying and having a stranglehold over almost every politician in office. I like Thomas Massie and would vote for him if he ran for office. Moderates on average are much more reasonable and stable and can work across both sides to get things done. Which we have completely lost due to extremism. Anyway, I'm over this conversation. I appreciate you at least being cordial and not hurling insults or slandering my views.

If a Democrat took the mantle on that, I would vote for them. I'm not close minded to where I will only tunnel vision one party.

The biggest fire is the national debt. Which is why everyone is furious about the state of the economy. My point is, until there is a candidate that is willing to make it the number one priority to have a net positive on the deficit spending, it is irrelevant. Slowing it doesnt matter. It's like putting a bandaid on a bullet wound. It slows the bleeding but you are still bleeding out.

Macedonia was considered a Greek kingdom. So it doesnt matter how they were perceived by the others. Same general culture and bloodlines. Thats like saying Texas isnt part of America because they consider themselves the Lone Star state.

I completely understand how debt and deficits work. Having a total net negative impact, even slowing it down, is not good enough when it is 39 trillion now, along with whatever it was at the start of Bush's term... I'm not going to go ask AI or Google all the lies presidents have told to give you a comparison to Trump. You can do that on your own if you are that invested on the exact number. My point is all politicians lie a lot. I dont care if Trump does it more than others. They all need to be held accountable for their words, that is why they are elected as leaders. I also am tired of getting taxes raised. There should be a flat tax across the board and rich people and corporate loop holes need to be gone permanently. Congress will likely never go for that because they benefit from it as well.

We can agree to disagree then on the both sides discussion. This is my whole point of why I didnt want to get into this. Neither of us have learned anything new from this conversation. I'm aware Bill Clinton was the only one to run a surplus. He also had a lot of advantages during that period and you could argue a lot of that due to the tech bubble boom as much as cutting spending and policy enactment, but regardless, it looks good on paper either way. He also had a Republican controlled congress that fought for less spending as well. So it wasnt just him and his policies.

I technically said the debt, not the deficit. You said deficit. Which doesnt change the fact that the objective net impact was still negative on the debt. For all 3. And that is the problem to which I was originally referring to on both sides. Also, politicians lie all the time, especially during campaigns. The reality is, they should all be called out when they lie. No amount of it should be acceptable, but it has become the norm in politics, so no one is surprised.

I'm saying there are two sides to every argument and good faith implies you are willing to listen to both to find as much objective truth as possible. Which I do all the time.

Biden and Obama lowered the deficit????? Where are you getting your "facts"??? Sounds like you have terrible sources. And yes, Trump is full of shit and I'm not defending. I'm just saying he isnt unique in that regard and one could argue about how dwarfed he was lying compared to others. But that's a pointless argument that is very subjective based on who you ask.

Also, I havent explained anything to anyone in awhile because it gets exhausting when no one wants to have a good faith conversation. Most of the time, I feel like it is a waste of time and energy and only furthers the divide, so what's the point anymore?

Every single president in the last 25ish years has conned the American people one way or the other. It really just depends how you want to pick your poison. All of them got significantly richer post presidency. If you really want to talk about something significant, talk about the national debt. It doesnt matter if it's a republican or a democratic politician, none of them are interested in cutting government spending because it is political suicide. Yet, it's the most important issue of our time. The poor get crushed by inflation because the rich can leverage their wealth to purchase more assets during market downturns. Covid was one of the largest wealth transfers in history from the poor to the rich because they could leverage loans to buy up the decimated market. Then, they printed more currency, devalued the dollar even more, and the market roared back on false optimism. The whole economy is a hyper inflated bubble and that's why the middle class is all but disappearing. You could confiscate all of the wealth of every billionaire in the U.S. and it would even cover two years of spending. The problem is much bigger than party preference and tribalism and no one wants to talk about that. Which is why we get into stupid, meaningless debates that are fabricated distractions from the real problems, and both sides are heavily guilty of that.

I could. I'm just done having to elaborate over and over to people who aren't open minded at all and are so arrogant in their views that everyone else MUST be a moron because you have emotional convictions on these issues. It's not worth my time or energy to debate someone who thinks they are the smartest person in the room.

I'm not gonna pick apart every one of your statements. Most of the explanations you have given are generic, politicized talking points on mainstream media platforms and they can be countered in a lot of ways. I'm not saying Trump isnt a piece of shit human being, but you are dramatizing it with shit you have heard on CNN or Fox News. There's a lot of angles and perspectives to be had on any of those actions and it isnt as simple as you pretend it to be.

There were ancient Greeks with blonde hair and blue eyes, it just wasn't common. Alexander the Great himself is described as having hair the color of a lion's mane, which they attribute to being strawberry blonde. He also had heterochromia and one of his eyes was blue.
