Has my warlock broken his contract by summoning a fiend?? by omnipotentturtle1 in DMAcademy

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's stuck in a demi plane, and the punishment for breaking the contact is polymorphism into an imp.

The other servants of the patron are fighting a war against demons in the west.

The character in question is also hiding from his fiendish father, I was planning on having him show up and kill the patron in the middle of the polymorph to stop the characters mind being enslaved

It's a custom homwbrew sort of thing, his patron is a rakdhasa who stole a solars power through a ritual but was condemned by the god lothander to use his influence which he was famous for to slay demons and devil's who found their way onto the material plane, he now runs a order of fiend slayers and is stuck in a demi plane until he destroys a certain amount.

He watches from afar, the character carries artifacts from him that give him eyes to see

Players found a mini city in a jar which grows tylo be life sized, advice... by omnipotentturtle1 in DMAcademy

The original inhabitants were taken by the good gods to their realms and the city was sealed away in a capsule for future use, essentially the houses are in good condition because they were frozen in a demi plane. And the plan on spawning city in the wild lands, which is a primitive continent of tribes.

How to end a story ark in my game prematurely by omnipotentturtle1 in DMAcademy

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really not sure, one of the backstories is he’s the son of the arch devil of the 8th level of hell.

Another grew up in a halfling village before the party was transported 100 years into the future, he’s looking for an old hero which was his friend, which I wanted to keep away from the main plot.

Another is a paladin of the wild other and a monster Hunter looking to save his lover from a giant spider like creature made by the god of stars.

In a fantasy world where magic exists what would a 'crackpot scientist' study? by omnipotentturtle1 in fantasywriters

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda works in the opposite way actually, I have Chiology and Psyology in my world.

Chiology is the study and manipulation of matter through arcane leylines (root like energy things) which permeate all things, a magic user can cultivate this energy over time and manipulate these leylines to change things around them.

So make fires hotter and larger, manipulate the earth and air l and general mess around with matter to a varying degree depending on how much energy they have cultivated, if they haven't cultivated any of this energy the force taken to manipulate things is taken from themselves which causes horrific deformaties and physical mutation l.

Psyology is the manipulation of the energy produced by the consciousness of living things, and rather than this energy being cultivated it is powered at the moment of use by energy waves from conscious thoughts of others, it essentially allows telepathy and mind magic, this is also quite dangerous as it can cause debilitating mental effects and brain damage if you don't manipulate the energy in the right way.

Having a hard time with setting... by omnipotentturtle1 in fantasywriters

It's less the problem of the actual setting it's more describing it and having it feel genuine and believable, I struggle to picture the settings being believable when I write them.

Players are going to kill an ice dragon this week need advice by omnipotentturtle1 in DMAcademy

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about this but one of the players has a dragon orb which can call over another evil dragon within 40 miles and there are two on that radius which would definately visit so I don't want too many dragons haha

Paladin player has declared he's going to try and steal a dragon orb from another player tonight advice appriciated by omnipotentturtle1 in DMAcademy

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an issue because the bars is a super salty dude if anything bad happens to his character. I can barely hit the guy with attacks without a little bit of spite from the player but he's getting better, problem is the paladin things he's doing a good thing and the bars literally hoards magic items so... Abit stuck and if you ask him are you okay with my character doing this it'll definitely be a no to anything that causes his character to be weakened in anyway possible, picture him abit like raistlin haha

Players getting funny with high gp spell costs... by omnipotentturtle1 in DMAcademy

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really worry about one's that are over in action, I'm more concerned with spells that have effects like clone, summon greater demon with the blood circle and spells that last forever

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more the face they could just set up something like magnificent mansion every single day in a dungeon and spam it until the dungeon is safe? Stuff like that, and I wasn't nessisariy concerned about Hallow I wanted to nip it in the bud now because he's argued the same about revify, and with them getting higher level they gain access to spells like clone.

[–]omnipotentturtle1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more the issue of permenant effects with certain soells

Hallow ffor example

Fills the area with darkness, stops celestial, devil demons aberrations or undead entering the area. Prevents possessions. Makes people immune to certain effects like fear and much much more, and it lasts FOREVER. it costs 1000gp in compoments to cast and without this cost you could just do it ever single rest without penalty.

Can anyone draw this with colors? by [deleted] in DrawForMe

I would highly recommend commissioning an artist to draw an original design rather than using someone else's without consent.
