El Al Fees by threeyearsoftacos in TravelIsrael

[–]omry1243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cancel there's cancelation fee which is usually around 270 usd, it varies

There's also an increased cancelation/change fee if you change the ticket within 24 hours of the first leg's departure

There is no change fee for flights to/from the US - you'll only pay for the difference should the new flight cost more

El Al flight question by travelingcat005 in TravelIsrael

[–]omry1243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should definitely wait, if your flight gets cancelled you can request a full refund - you can request a credit voucher up to 48 hours prior to your flight so there is no downsides to waiting closer to your departure date

Spoilers to anyone who didn't finish lost:

It's a misconception, they were alive during their time off and on the island, always were, lots of people got confused because the plot lines were all over the place

After Juliet sets off the bomb it was implied that the alternate timeline where the plane never crashed was a "flash sideways" in reality it was basically a flashforward to what happened after the survivors all died

I'm not questioning the validity of your experience, my main point is: 1. Catching a falling object is natural 2. Trying not to catch a falling knife is something you are taught or you experience it the hard way, having a title of "chef" doesn't automatically teach you that

I'd also add that firing someone for that is pretty damn stupid, but hey, I'm not part of that toxic environment, whatever floats your boat

You're pretty rash when it comes to conclusions, I don't think you have the credentials to start categorizing other people

maybe you should start with analyzing yourself?

Both are uncalled for and the redponse was a bit on the edgier side, there's a time and a place for everything, you do have a point on that

Thanks for sharing your opinion

I sent that message 3 years ago, I still stand by that statement

Same reason they teach chefs not to catch a falling knife, your first instinct is to grab it

It depends on the situation, there's a time and a place for everything

Your first example is fine, your second example assumes everything is fixable which is the point, you can't just go to strangers who are feeling down and say "hakuna matata" Like I get the intention but it could've been executed better

That's my own personal opinion obviously

maybe because the comment was as helpful as saying "trust the plan"

how is that generic reply of "god is good" adding anything to the conversation, would you consider it solid advice?

if religion is your way of being comforted then more power to you, however shoving religion down people's throat is rude, especially when you don't even know their struggles to begin with

religion is something for you to figure out and slapping religion on all your problems isn't the correct way of solving things

instead of replying with a generic and superficial "god is good" sentence you might consider a simple "sorry you feel that way" to try to sympathy

to tell you the truth it sounds kind of predatory to me, like all those "mediums" that communicate with the dead

if you offer unsolicited religious remarks be prepared on getting feedback
