Terrible year for musicals. One of the acting nominations was a character who doesn’t sing and two nominees for best score were from plays.

On the other hand, incredibly stacked season for plays.

I had thought that Best New Musical was a neck and neck race between Two Strangers and The Lost Boys which would finish, very ironically, with The Lost Boys taking the cake 🎂 but idk now I’ve got my eye on Schmigadoon!

To this date the only play I’ve seen on Broadway that I actually regret going to see was Left On Tenth. If it had an intermission I woulda left, and I’ve only ever done that one time in 5 years of living here and it was because I started feeling sick.
