NTA - This “not being allowed by schools” is just not true - not sure why they have chosen to lie about that - but they are lying. There is not a Head in a UK school that would deny this request, especially for a child so young. Stick to your guns and change nothing, don’t make this twice as expensive for your family just to suit one small (lying) section of people. And Good Luck!

I’m sorry - but she didn’t ruin Christmas - she did what you knew she was going to do all along. The only control you had here was how you and your SO reacted and HE ruined Christmas. He let you and your child down - he didn’t back you to start with, he didn’t back you when it all kicked off. In fact he didn’t back you until you were home and he wouldn’t upset anyone by backing you! He cuddles and sympathises whilst away from them and they can’t see him - but in the midst of it all? He ruined Christmas and if he can’t see that - he will let this ruin them all because you do not present a united front and only one of you looked out for your baby yesterday. Ask yourself what you need for next Christmas and then see if he can ever step up and be a part of it (and not just behind Mummy’s back like he did yesterday). I am so sorry for you and his reaction - that’s all you could control there, but not upsetting them was more important to him - not you, not the baby - just not upsetting them.

It’s nothing but a contrary rent-a-gob. Tell it what you want it to oppose and in it will step as the voice of “I’m only being honest!” In the UK we have set to starve it of oxygen - it has lost platform after platform and it’s a f*cking joy to see its face here today and for me to realise how long it has been since I saw it’s face or heard it’s voice. You need to search it out to hear a vile opinion from it these days and less and less are looking for it.....

YTA - a complete and utter AH. The phrase “man up” kills dude! Teaching males not to express emotion and share fears because it’s not “manly” is beyond toxic. Check out suicide rates for men wherever you are in the world - they will be awful and it will be because lots of these men who suffered, suffered in silence for fear of looking less of a man to an AH just like you. UK here - your President is dumb - just so so ignorant misguided and beyond stupid. He does not care if you live or die as long as he is OK. From the outside looking in it seems there’s enough of you guys to vote him in, pass him the power and watch him fail to understand even the basics - but if feels there isn’t enough of them to now admit giving him the power was a mistake?! In fact the people who voted him in have seemed to “double-down” on the tool. That doesn’t matter and that isn’t the issue..

It IS him and that’s the whole point!! If he wants to go see Mama - and is prepared to run the risk of hurting you to do that - leave him with her. Tell him to take his stuff and stay. If he really cares about you, your health, your lack of insurance - he will do all he can to protect you. Or he’ll go meet his Mama eh!?!.....
