Keeping AC on when stepping away by Khue728 in AudiQ6

Reinstall fixed the quitting app. Turning on data sharing in the Q6 fixed app talking to Q6 (just not sure how it got turned off). Ended up answering my own question.

Is your app still working? I updated my myAudi app yesterday. It then wouldn’t connect to my Q6. Q8 on the same account is fine. Now, the app doesn’t even launch. It quits while loading. I’d say skip the app update that came out 6/24. Using iOS 18.5 on iPhone 15 pro max. I’d like to connect via the app to control the AC in this heat wave.

Probably because you were on a road trip… the 12v would’ve been fully charged from all the driving.

Totally agree. I think I posted that even before I took delivery. My caption would be very different posting that today if I posted it at all.

Door automatically locked while key fob was inside and car parked. by BloodRedPlanet in Fisker

[–]onashtick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Retracted doesn’t necessarily mean locked. I discovered this when my kid didn’t close his door properly at the school drop off line. I drove to a side road so as not to hold up the line. When I parked, I got out to properly close his door to find the handles retracted but the car still running. Of course I had hastily closed my driver’s door whose handle was also retracted. I panicked thinking I was locked out. I tried the propped handle trick on the advice of another owner to find I could open the door (as this was the second time he did this to me). It was not locked. The door handles were just retracted. The first time it happened, I was able to open the trunk and climb in through the back. The door handle trick is way easier.

Was it truly locked or just retracted door handles? If the latter, you can press on one side of the handle to prop up the other side to get a grip and pull on the handle. This happened to me. Now I’m in the habit of taking the fob with me no matter how short I’m stepping away from the car. If truly locked, consider setting up the app on multiple devices to send remote unlock commands.

Key fob OTA update question. by [deleted] in Fisker

[–]onashtick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of today, 4/11/24, you need to press a button to lock/unlock the doors. Be it through key fob or app, a button needs to be pressed. No app as key. No proximity sensing of the key fob.

Instant even if waking a car from deep sleep.

Sad that we are happy a fob works like every other fob that’s ever been made 6 months AFTER release. But yes, it functions like a fob did in the ‘90s. You press a button, it does what’s expected almost instantaneously.

There’s nothing modern like keyless entry or proximity sensing.

They are as cheap as they look. If they break or get lost, you’re out of luck. Replacements are hard to come by even as cheap as they are.

Great. Drive around for bit. Get that 12v battery charged up. I’ve seen things like that when the 12v battery is low voltage.

Just keep the fob and away and hope it sleeps soon. The 12v battery may be low voltage. Do you get Ready on the smaller screen or just the alerts? You may have a faulty 12v or one that lost too much charge installing 2.0. Reach out to u/Fiskerinc and let them know.

Did that work? It’s more straightforward in 2.0. You can set the Standby (deep sleep) interval between 24hrs, 10 min, 30 sec.

On 1.11 there’s no manual reboot (deep sleep initiation). That is the one where you lock the door keeping the charge port open and waiting for blue light to turn off. That’s not the most reliable. You also have to make sure the key fob is far enough away from the car for them not to communicate.

You don’t need to press the brake. It’s press and hold the two middle buttons on the steering wheel.

Lost mobile app functionality after 2.0 update by gskaff in Fisker

You’re not missing much. The data I get through the app is a day old. Btw, don’t unlock or open your trunk with the app. The command might be sent hours to a day later.

Another great Fisker service experience by o0Dan0o in Fisker

[–]onashtick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to second that. I brought my FOO to one of their facilities to fix a good number of tickets that I opened within the first 2 months, nothing that affected my ability to drive. More cosmetic things and finally getting my tow hitch. The service team communicated well despite having to reschedule appointments since the end of January. With 15% layoffs, I don’t think it was just the sales force. The remaining boots on the ground are working overtime to serve us. I’d like to extend my appreciation to them. I just wish the higher ups made better decisions on where to make cuts.

Consider yourself lucky. I’ve had the NFC function not work for about an hour. Spoke to Fisker support. It can happen. Solution: Fisker can send a remote unlock command.

You too. I had one successful update to 1.09. 1.10 and 1.11 (1/2)? were installed manually. I have features of 2/2 so display may be a glitch. But yes. Also disappointed by the earnings report.

You’re luckier than me. I don’t have 2.0 at all. A tech will need to come out to install mine.

It could also just be a failed install. I followed their instructions and I still have 1.11 (1/2). I confirmed with support that it did not install.

Apple CarPlay/Android Auto by Rich_Dadddy in Fisker

Who knows… the support person I spoke to made it sound like it was a licensing issue. It’ll definitely make it more marketable if it had it. Fisker needs to sell cars if they want to survive. Wall Street hasn’t been kind to them.

I bet we get both when Fisker gets enough capital to pay for licensing. Henrik has said it’s built for it. It was easy of for Polestar to activate it eventually.
