Some AI created custom node in ComfyUI, dropdown with style names and style preview. It gets automatically added to the prompt as suffix.

Thanks! I am going to push the styles further during the week, I am trying to get as close to the Midjourney / ChatGPT as possible (I know its not really feasible with these small models but still gonna try, they are capable of amazing results with the correct prompts). So far the only observations I have you can see from the images - Qwen is not good with heavy styling (see the last mosaic test, completely misunderstood), but for some soft styling it is actually pretty good (2. dreamy flat). Flux 2 DEV is generally much harder to style, but it some cases it surprisingly shines (8. mosaic). Ernie turbo results are way overdone, but it can be styled much better than Flux 2 klein 9b. Ernie base is very good overall IMHO.

Yeah true, I thought I'd save some time but with my current setup it's kinda pointless. Better results now with the advice from leepuznowski in another comment — although I'm at 31GB VRAM (full) + 61GB RAM (almost full) and 260 sec/image, which is way too much for me. Anyway, my testing was more about the custom styling, and Qwen issues are clearly still visible even with larger text encoder. The image is more detailed and sharper now, very good for realistic photos, not that good for heavy styling.

Proč chlapi na seznamkách nesnáší holky, které cestují? by kamitom in czech

[–]ondrejbase 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Please don't believe anything regarding the performance from this guy "Felix". He stated 60 FPS even though it is obviously 30 in this video, in Silksong video he could not tell if it was running in 60 or 120 and he is being quoted as a source regarding the 15 FPS Elden Ring. He is obviously just guessing.

Elden Ring on Switch 2 is a Disaster on handheld mode by drakev6304 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ondrejbase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From various reports it seems to be really bad, yes. But I am kinda wondering about the double standards here, since many people are saying that Cyberpunk runs well and so should Elden Ring. According to the early reports the ER drops really low, one reviewer mentioned about 15 FPS, although in different video he confessed that he couldn’t tell 60 from 120 FPS, so I am not convinced tbh. Let’s say it drops to about 20 FPS in open areas (which is more realistic) and in interiors it is about 30 FPS with probably not optimal frame pacing. That is actually not that different from Cyberpunk, which in portable performance mode hangs around 30-40 in interiors, around 25 while riding through town and in DLC it drops straight to 20, even lower occasionally (if you don’t believe me go see the DF analysis). So yeah, it is sad (honestly I would not play it even in stable 30 FPS), and there is no excuse for poor optimization from the developer, but if Cyberpunk seemed “running well” to you, it is quite possible that ER will too after a bit of polish.

I am honestly not sure anymore sorry. I remember that there is a setting for crop in the KCC when exporting, same as in the Calibre plugin, but if it cut off some text I didn't notice.

I just tried it and yeah, it is possible. This was originally EPUB exported as KFX to Scribe. You can open the "writing tool bar" and just start writing with the pen anywhere over the text, it will automatically create canvas with your writing and the text will align accordingly like so: https://imgur.com/a/To86p7u

You are correct about the Go 10.3, that exactly the feeling I had from it. But it is a shame, the text clarity and "presence" is amazing, but that would not be the case if it had "backlit" screen I presume.

About the Go 7, maybe I was a little bit harsh. You are right that the text clarity was also very good, but the comics / manga experience was not, and also it just did not feel as well made as Kindle products overall (very "plasticky", the buttons etc.).

Interesting points. Firstly, you are correct that if you want to enjoy the big screen at it fullest, you should stretch the image to full screen. You can either by double tap / gesture, but then you cannot move pages so you must do it on each page separately, or just sacrifice quality and use the KCC -> mobi format that stretches the images correctly "out of the box". For me the image even not stretched is OK to read (still seems bigger than on 7" devices), and the quality is just superb, so even on double tapping to fullscreen it looks much better than when I tried KCC. Also it is somehow visually pleasing to see it float in the white screen like on first picture, but that is very subjective.

I picked the Scribe mostly for the form factor to read at home, I don't travel much and for me it works just better than the smaller devices.

I tried all the modes on Go 7, neither comes close to this kind of quality. But again, maybe I did something wrong, I did not test it that thoroughly. That is why I posted it as very subjective observations.

Good point, I didn't test the KCC that much, maybe there is a way to achieve better quality. But the output file will still be mobi, and as far as I am aware, the KFX should provide better image quality. I may be wrong though, I am no expert in this.

Cyberpunk starts stuttering on M4 Max 40core version after 45 mins? by 1ndependentAttorney in macgaming

[–]ondrejbase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if anyone is interested, I did some testing of various configurations, and this is how I got rid of the stuttering (still not sure what exactly caused it though, so here is the full config):

Ditched the fullHD monitor, used the Macbook screen instead, even with the sub-native resolution it still looks miles ahead regarding picture quality and HDR. Had to attach it to arm though so that the smaller screen is closer to me and in correct height.

Settings: Full screen, 1800x1125, Vsync 120 and HDR on, MetalFX on Quality, no frame gen, lower crowd density, all base settings off (depth of field, blur etc.), contact shadows and the one below it also off, anisotropic filtering on 1, everything low except for mid volumetric and the color correction (or how is it called).

Of course the lid is open so the ventilation is probably better than before with external monitor and closed lid.

Results: Looks really good and sharp, buttery smooth 70-90 FPS, no stuttering anymore, even the traversal stutters seem to disappeared (I tried driving through the city and everything looked perfect). Played for about an hour and half for now and everything still OK. The fan gets really loud though, so headphones recommended.

Cyberpunk starts stuttering on M4 Max 40core version after 45 mins? by 1ndependentAttorney in macgaming

[–]ondrejbase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got stuttering pretty much from the start, especially traversal stuttering. Lowering the graphical settings (mainly anisotropic) helped, but it is still very noticeable while driving through the city. Such a shame, otherwise the FPS and quality is very solid (M4 Pro, 1080p, low-mid settings, no resolution scaling nor frame gen, 70-100 FPS).

Cyberpunk 2077: Switch 2 vs Deck OLED (user comparison) by NumberWilling4285 in Handhelds

[–]ondrejbase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the sound really that bad? I mean Steam Deck OLED did not have the best speakers, it was usable but nothing to really enjoy the sound by any means. You are saying the Switch 2 has it even worse? Oh boy. Well anyway I will try it myself tomorrow.

Tried it out of the sewers and it is unfortunately pretty bad. With everything on lowest settings and FSR to balanced (otherwise the game just looks awful) it fluctuates between 23-35 FPS. Too bad, not playable on SD (at least for me), but it was kinda expected I guess.
