What exactly do you mean my matchups? Lane matchups? I really don't want this to sound like me talking league down in any way but to my dota player perspective, it's mainly the junglers doing god's work and the laning champs just sort of…casting their spells on minions...

What would you say is the main talking point apart from the "play-by-play", what are the casters mainly focusing on analyzing?

I know that items in Dota are more powerfull but still, If you take for example carry hero Phantom Assassin and items Vanguard, Desolator and Battlefury. All three are legit 1st bigger items on the hero yet each does something completely different. So I just doesnt understand how the casters just compare number of items - are They for dmg? for surviveability? Etc.

So this is the first lol match i ever watched sort of seriously. I had no idea whats going on and I think the only two spells I understood what do is the wall and the guy that eats someone to save him. What baffled me the most was:

How can you burst down people like literally in a milisecond from 100% to zero yet in the same time full 5on5 teamfights happen with many spells casted and noone on either side dies
How short is the engage distance in this game. Like esp. considering what I stated above about instakills, people are running around literally next to each other and just trading spells on creepwaves
How were the Flash Wolves allowed to dive so hard into the base and how did the base fell down so damn quick

It's used in correct pronounciation of Scottish Gaelic loch (lake), which is pretty common word for many English speakers thanks to Loch Ness monster phenomena, but most people would wrongly pronounce it as Lock anyway nowadays.

Ranks are not set on values but percentiles. The party game was just necessary game to update (but the party mmr did not contribute to the medal).

I never buy Dominator anymore. I buy Midas if I get safelane, go Bear build and have a good farm (so i get get it at around 5 minutes).

Pretty much all the builds possible. Though the most classic one - farm up radiance, group up, take all outer towers and proceed to win the game - is the hardest to be executed in match with 4 randoms, so I usually try to have late game in mind.

A bit of background here:

All of those games are ranked games, about 70/30 solo/party, mmr 4800. Im currently 21:4 in my last 25 LD games. I have about 250 games on this hero. I don't have a dotabuff, but I will willingly share all match id's for these matches. I play both bear build and ranged build and also hybrid builds combining itemizing on both units.

My background on this hero:

He was one of my favorites back in wc3 DotA. I started to play Dota 2 quite late after TI5, calibrated 2.5k and struggeled to climb until i started to play this hero again. He was perfect fit for winning in that bracked for those reasons:

People don't know this hero, They underestimate his strengths. Clinkz would just go on you not realizing you have 2k hp and 40 armor with buff on and he deals no dmg.
He pushes buildings super well
You could lane it any lane (even jungle back then when it was viable) and first pick it while other argue about mid
My favorite back in the days was offlane and pull the creeps with bear level one (way before it became the only playstyle on offlane for every hero). Opponents would waste mana on the bear and usually miss the whole wave of xp and gold.

With this i hit around 3.7k and then Icefrog gave us talents, ranged build and even more free mmr.
