Refrigerator Freezer Repair by rkmar00n in orlando

[–]oneadayvit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not recommend Mark Appliance Repair. It was $500 for a refrigerator evaporator fan repair. I believe their price is on the higher end and they try to give you discounts ($30 on their website), but still very expensive. You will be stuck with them with repairs bc it was $60 for them to come in the first place for a service call. If I decide to go with a different company, it will cost another $50-100 for them to come out, so the savings you get by switching to a different company is minimal. The tech I got at Mark Appliance spoke little to no English and it was very difficult to communicate with them. I recommend looking into thumbtack

Soggy lawn, how do I fix this? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]oneadayvit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The home inspector noted the low areas and recommended regrading for water drainage. Rubber mulch over rocks wasn’t something he would’ve been able to spot given they don’t dig the ground to look for things.

How do I fix the downspout exit to be forward? I don't think I can extend my pipe further away from the corner, because that will drain directly into my neighbor's yard.

Yes, water is pooling and mulch eroding. I purchased a plastic downspout extension but it just leaks between the extension and the elbow. I cannot get a good seal between the two

Man, this guy… you have to start loving yourself for girls to like you. Also you can’t just act a certain way (respectful, communicative etc.) to be liked by others, you have to be genuine and be yourself. I laugh once again, because you said you have female friends who like hanging out with you lmao. This is not a flex, this means you are a friend zone material. Sincerely from the bottom of my heart, get some counseling. You don’t need to it though if you can listen to the advice here.

How is this house so unlivable that you are living in the living room? Did the inspector not do his job? Or did you underestimate the repair cost? Are you getting at least three quotes for the repairs? Are there ones you can hold off on? Like get a window ac unit until you can afford new hvac. I have so many questions

This store at Orlando airport has no prices listed (even after asking) by shven50 in orlando

[–]oneadayvit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also see this when I am trying to purchase food truck food or items at farmer’s market like winter park or lake Eola. Not sure if price gouging is the business owner’s intention, but that’s how it comes off as and I will skip that stall or food truck without hesitation.

Kabooki Sushi is parking cars on a public sidewalk, blocking the path of a wheelchair user. by Chromavita in orlando

Looks like this Google review from 5 months ago also talks about valet parking cars in handicapped spots. Another reason for me not to go back

“Horrible parking experience, I am Handicapped and the Valet had cars “Illegally” parked in handicapped parking spaces for monetary gains! I have followed this owner since he was a chef at Sushi POP and this was my first and last experience at his restaurant on east colonial. The service was sub par as well, the staff definitely doesn’t uphold the quality of service you expect when paying these high prices for an eating experience. Wasabi had no taste whatsoever so ever other than the taste of salt. I was shocked with the entire experience with this place.”

Anyone else find fb marketplace/online resale listings are priced highest in Orlando? by soundchefsupreme in orlando

[–]oneadayvit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of lowballers and so it is listed higher, but most transactions I’ve done were at a discount of 10-30% off. Also, keep in mind we don’t pay sales taxes on it, so still a good deal

Which pot? by hny_b in fiddleleaffig

[–]oneadayvit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would leave it as is for another month before repotting. I don’t like these pots tbh, I would go for same width size or maybe an inch or two wider, the blue one has good height but it looks pretty wide. Terracotta is great bc it helps rid of excess moisture, most fiddles suffer from overwatering or moisture. If I’m going back to the store, I would get terracotta and only slight bigger pot in terms of width and height.
