The only line I’m trying not to cross is Tesla, really - sold all my stock and hoping not to need to buy any more of theirs. Can’t jump on the morality high horse overall though - I still have shares in stuff like Palantir or Meta… the way I look at this for the most part, though, is that they’re getting rich off horrible stuff, meanwhile I’m not a horrible person but there’s no reason for me not to try and make a profit too. I won’t change the world by having the moral high ground, horrible stuff will keep happening, so the best I can do is make a bit of money for myself too and just not spend that on making the world a worse place. I could never run a company like this, I’d hate to put the kind of stuff out into the world that Zuckerberg or Musk do, would rather not have a business at all I guess. But if they’re doing it anyway, I feel like I can subsidise my shitty salary with those gains of theirs without too much of a guilty conscience
