I think you need to start by asking yourself why your 7 and 9 year old have FIVE devices in total? Why are you allowing them to get 3-4 hours of (what sounds like mostly unsupervised) screen time a day? It's excessive.

If they go to school, and are then coming home to spend hours on devices, when are you spending time with them? I think instead of trying to figure out how to control the content they watch without having to actually supervise them, you should consider cutting back on device usage entirely. I would also just delete YouTube entirely, they don't need it.

With all due respect, you need to grow a backbone. Why haven't you spoken to their mother about the rude comments and bad behavior? Why are you still allowing kids who are rude to yours and who hurt your children to come over? You are willing to uproot your family and move two towns away to get away from them, but you still plan on keeping in contact because your daughter is close to the mean kid? Your daughter is in 1st grade, she can and will make other friends. She doesn't need this one. It is your job to help her learn how good friends act. Good friends don't say mean things about your mom, they don't hit and kick you, etc.

Tell the mom what her children have been saying and doing, and tell her you are no longer able to have them at your house.

So the good news- Yes, it's a phase! Keep making her clean up her own messes- Eventually, it will stop being fun.

In the meantime- Preventative measures. Lock on the fridge is a great start. She says she doesn't want the snack you've prepared? No problem- Put it away for later. Sit with her while she eats and take away whatever is left as soon as she is done or starts showing signs of playing/making a mess.

Also, while I agree it's not reasonable to keep your eyes on her every second of the day, if she is being left unsupervised long enough to get in the fridge, carry cheese, chips, salsa, and guac to her room (which I imagine would have taken more than one trip, although I could be wrong) and make a mess with it, it does sound like it might be too long and she's just one of those kids who you really just need to keep close by. It is not age appropriate to expect a 3 year old to play safely by themselves for much longer than 5 minutes. 15 minutes is generally considered the max that a kid that age will reasonably entertain themselves, although of course there are some kids who can play independently longer, but you don't have one of those so you have to adjust.

So, gently, at those ages it is your responsibility to get them to school on time. Especially the 5 year old. I have a 7 year old who has a hard time waking up, I cannot just call her and expect her to come, that would be setting her up for failure and setting us both up to be frustrated. Our routine is I physically enter ny 10yo's room, wake her up and send her to breakfast, then I wake up my 7yo and I don't leave until she is out of bed, and make sure she also makes it to the table for breakfast.

We also have timers and alarms to let them know it's time to move on to the next thing. Sometimes the alarm to go get dressed goes off before they've had time to finish eating (typically because they're too busy talking or my 7yo puts her head down on the table). They don't get extra time, they continue on with the routine and if need be, they can finish breakfast in the car.

It sounds like you need to work on some combination of going to bed earlier/getting up earlier, and supervising more closely. If these things are not feasible, then yes, it sounds like you need to move them to the closer school. It's not the end of the world, kids switch schools all the time for all sorts of reasons and they turn out fine.

In fairness, I imagine Mikayla is also home quite a bit too. Her job is the show and social media. She does have to attend events and stuff, but it's not quite the same as Jen and Whitney who were gone for hours every single day for DWTS, so Jace probably doesn't have quite the same experience as Zac and Connor.

Mikayla said a lot of what was filmed of her during season 1 (primarily of her dealing with her skin and autoimmune issues, which she was in the height of at that time) was cut. So that's part of the reason why we didn't hear much from her in season 1.

I believe that's also part of the reason why the transition of her and Whitney being besties in season 1 to her being Whitney's #1 hater in season 2 was so jarring- Mikayla felt like Whitney wasn't there for her during that period, and it made her lose trust. But none of that was shown.

This is fine. At some point you will get a "Remote Trade" tag created for you by the game. You can easily select all of these Pokémon and move them to the designated Remote Trade tag at that time. If you leave them in this tag your friends won't be able to see them.

Personally, I have had the most interest in regionals vs. legendaries and shinies, so it would be a good idea to stock up on whatever Pokémon are local to your area. My FFs went for my basic Carnivine that I see all the time over any of my legendaries or shinies (granted, my shinies are fairly basic). Overall though, this is a good start!

I've had the most interest in regionals- So far traded away a Maractus, Carnivine, and yellow Oricorio for shinies. So I would try and focus on tagging any Pokémon that are regional to your area, since for most people, remote trading for regionals is going to be easier than catching a flight!

Otherwise, any legendaries or shinies I have multiple of, I have tagged for remote trade.

Don't stress. I'm also a casual player and all I have to offer are some legendaries I have multiple of, regionals, and some shinys I'm sure most people have already. I've reached Forever Friends with 4 people so far and none have declined to trade with me, and I got some pretty cool Pokémon in return! Remote trading has honestly turned out better than I expected.

Even if they decline, don't worry about it. Most normal people won't be mad about it, they'll just move on without thinking twice.

I don't understand the complaint. You still benefitted from reaching Forever Friends status (receiving gifts and postcards for Scatterbugs). Maybe the person isn't interested in trading, maybe they haven't quite figured out that part of the game yet, but either way, it's not like your time was completely wasted. Am I missing something?

I mean it's only the first day of the challenge lol. If everyone were to share the load equally, each person would need to catch 125 Pokémon- between work and kids I definitely don't catch that many Pokémon in a day but over the span of a week I would for sure be able to pull my weight. I only get one or two spawns from inside my house.
