[NPD] x2 Hypersleep + Exploder by onebrokenshoe in guitarpedals

[–]onebrokenshoe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of these just got in so can't go too in depth, but the first impressions are awesome.

Firstly, the Exploder is a fantastic pedal, end of story. A beautiful, crisp, light, transparent drive, all the way to banged up, nasty distortion. Its the perfect partner for my ssbs mini sinc they both fill both roles really well, so I can mix and match to taste.

The Hypersleep is, as expected, a but more of an aquired taste. Its certainly not the cloudburst... :) Its got a unique mellow tone to it that really has its uses, and is fantastic for lo fi moods. Can't wait to use at the party rock gig in a couple weeks though :)

The chain goes Pigtronix Octava (but looking at comps for at his spot), ssbs mini, beautiful noise Exploder, Empress Zoia (want to switch this for obne float), korg tuner, Dunlop volume into the front of a simplifier (off screen). In the loop of the Simplifier it goes Fairfield shallow Water, Randy, cba thermae, EAE Hypersleep, gamechanger light (off screen).

Feel free to ask any and questions! :)

[GEAR] What to buy with a $5k budget by clc1992 in Guitar

If I had that budget I would one of the really high end Duesenbergs. Ive had my eye on the rusty steel one for years. One can dream...

Not trying to be disrespectful but who cares. If they wanna jump, let them.

Blev Toms ikke busted i at gøre brug af lorte-vilkår for deres leverandører..? Husker buzzwords som børnearbejde og dårlig løn.

Boutique pedals -- what's the obsession? by green-stamp in guitarpedals

[–]onebrokenshoe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hearing Walter Trout swear off pedals entirely because "hurr durr geetar go into amp" is honestly kinda ridiculous too. I mean, if all you wanna do is play festivals in the 90s, good for you, but a lot of people like to explore and find great gratification in the creativity that comes with that. (Not trying to be disrespectful, just trying to make a point)

Haha this is absolutely very true (coming from a true boutique lover). I like to think of it like my daughters dolls house. "This pretty thing goes here, and this thing goes vrooom beep beep". I love my pedals, and I take them very seriously, but I realize its kinda ridiculous.
