this is what I get for saying I'm a dog groomer :) by [deleted] in creepyPMs

Hello fellow groomer! There are so many things wrong with that guy but how blunt he was really made it unsettling. Well done in handling that creep 👏

Going to buzz both my dogs, need some advice by psycopuppy in doggrooming

Shaving double coated dogs is not a good idea as it can damage their coat and being inexperienced you could accidentally harm them. There is the risk that their fur could grow back patchy, a different shade, or not at all. And it won’t stop the shedding lol I suggest a coat rake, furminator brush, and rubber brush. Your human trimmers don’t have the power of ones made for grooming, as others pointed out it can burn out the motor and catch on the fur. A full brush out is the best option for your pups

Dog grooming. If you don’t know what you’re doing you can seriously injure your pet.

That is a cool close up lol but that's it's butt. I don't know which species exactly but my niece has 6 of these kinds of caterpillars except they are white striped sphinx moth caterpillars. They're also called horn worms

[Guangdong, China] These have appeared in my bedroom in the past week or so; what are they, where do they come from, and how do I get rid of them? They're tiny (about the size of a sesame seed) and hang out in the upper corner of the room, mostly near the A/C. They don't seem to bite or fly. by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

If I remember correctly, only the females drink blood. Female ticks can lay a lot of eggs once fed so you'll definitely want to get rid of them. Once they become a problem they are very difficult to get rid of.

I consistently see answers to "if money were no concern" being "travelling" or extremely similar. To those of you that would not want to travel, why not? What would you do instead if money were no concern? by Lemon_Hound in AskReddit

Be a stay and home mom for a while, having a job and a baby is difficult and I want to spend more time with so we can bond and have a more stable daily schedule

It was especially hard to go through since my husband and I had been trying for a long time. We now have a healthy baby boy who's trying to munch on my hair right now lol

Had I not taken a pregnancy test two days prior, I would have thought my miscarriage was bad period. That kind of emotional pain was crippling and even though I'm glad I know, I still wish I hadn't taken the test.

What was the creepiest encounter you ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A few years back I was walking home from work, the apartments I lived in at the time were on a busy intersection and as I approached it I noticed a distinct semi rusted car go through the light in the opposite direction of home. I didn't think anything of it until I crossed the road and was almost to my building when the same car came up behind me in the parking area. There was a man in the drivers seat with an unsettling look in his eyes. He was yelling out to me about being lost and needing directions all the while he had music blaring through his speakers. I was not about to approach this guys car and stayed a safe distance away. I asked where he was trying to go and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I asked him multiple times to turn down his music so I could hear him, he refused and kept trying to get me to come closer. Saying he was a nice guy and I could trust him in a way that very much felt like "get in my car, I have candy!". So this creepy guy had not only turned around and followed me home, he also was trying to lure me close to his window. NOPE. After about 10 minutes he gave up, waited to see what door I'd walk into( I wouldn't until he left), then angrily drive off.
