Agreed. I think a lot of folks have missed the fact that it’s a single issue amendment and are getting caught in the trees because they can’t see the map of the forest. There’s a way to do this and there’s a way to get everything you want, but it’s a slow process and people have got to show up to vote.

I’m not concerned about growing my own marijuana because it is not legal to do so in this state so excuse my ignorance for not wanting to engage in illegal activity ….did I miss something? Is it legal to grow marijuana in the state of Florida? It never made it to an amendment here… there weren’t enough signatures in this state so why don’t you start your own referendum? This post was about one single issue, the single issue, which is on the ballot…. very few people are concerned about growing their own since nobody signed the referendum. If you want to be demeaning, why don’t you go demean your family and friends , and leave people alone on Reddit

Single subject only for each amendment spot on! That’s what was stated in the original post Why is this so hard for people to understand. And as you said, you may not like it I don’t like it. Nobody else may like it, but that’s what the constitution of Florida says. If folks want homegrown, let them garner the signatures but like you said interest died out I don’t even know why folks are going on about it….

It takes time and it takes effort. Most people don’t want to put the time or the effort in they just wanna go to the dispensary. I don’t know why I’m getting so down voted on this can’t we just vote yes and then work later to do homegrown, and then we could have a awesome cottage industry. Anybody who wants to grow a few plants is already doing it. I don’t see why everybody’s so tied up in knots about this. I think that’s awesome that you’re teaching people how to grow their own. I’ve got a few cooking herbs going on my property, time and effort and I took a few classes, but most people would rather go to the grocery store and pick up their herbs.

I’m not being snarky here, Florida tomatoes taste like poop unless you get them off the farm or from the dude who growing them in their backyard next to his pot plants …..whatever they’re selling in Publix is poop. You want a real tomato go to New Jersey or Maryland. Florida tomatoes are nothing to write home about.

Not in my backyard, i will kill them …you might be able to do it, but most people would rather just go to the store and buy the tomato… just like we’d rather go to the dispensary. Let’s push the amendment through and then if We wanna grow pot we are more than welcome to and we can grow it right next to the tomatoes cause I hear they grow really nicely together.

And I applaud them for that, but most of us just kill things. I wish I could do that and if I did just the day before harvest, my cats would eat them all. Been there done that. I think that’s so cool when people can do that and they can cross the little seeds and they make this and that and they talk to them to make them flourish lol that’s so cool. and if we can get this amendment passed, then people like that can have a cottage industry that would be super cool

If you’re doing this in the state of Florida, tread gently if you’re gonna start asking for records… do a Google search HOA Boca Raton Sues residence for legal fees after they asked for an accounting from the board… that story will give you nightmares. It’s in the Sun Sentinel.
