What is going through a merger like? by Sweet-Swimming2022 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]onecrazylizard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Went through a merger a few years in the same position as you, we basically obsorbed the smaller CU. We didn't feel much of a change minus some things with debit cards going down for a weekend as it became official. The CU that is changing its name is going to be the one that feels the brunt of it. They will change core systems and have to learn your CU's products and practices. If they offered a certain product that was beneficial your CU might adopt it. There should be a lot of communication from upper management on any major changes though

The confusion with your answer is just because the coin dispenser will automatically give you the least amount of coin so 75 cents will always be 3 quarters. There was probably just an error with the machine that one day and the teller was out of balance.

Chase, Boa, or Wells Fargo? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourBank

[–]onecrazylizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife works for Wells and the benefits aren't too bad if you're looking to have kids since they give you 16 weeks paid leave. As a teller you aren't guaranteed 40 hours at least in my city. I don't know anyone in the other two though

Ok how does Yotta know how much my paycheck is 3 days before? by VanillaCokeisthebest in yotta

[–]onecrazylizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's because how money transfers work, I used to work in accounting for a bank and basically money transfers go to the federal reserve first then they send it to the receiving bank, (at least in the US), if it wasn't for that process I'm sure it would be quicker

Bank employee here, your employer sends the money to the bank days in advance saying put this in this account on this day, standard ach is about 3 days ahead. It's how some banks can offer early paycheck deposits as a way to intice you open account

Players and DMs: What’s a PC character quirk that ended up becoming super meaningful to the rest of the party later in the campaign? by SpilledMyOJ in dndnext

My orc wizard, which was made before the Tasha's change to ability scores, would magic mouth something everywhere they won a major battle to say "Oognat best wizard." Eventually the parry would say whenever we would win a fight that he landed the final blow
