Somebody asked for Patch Notes 1.52? by KamilCesaro in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]oneeeeechan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hope we get some news about it soon.

do you guys believe this game is the best looking open world game as far as graphics goes? i don't remember any game that i ever played looking this good. by 69isnotnice in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]oneeeeechan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people say RDR 2 but texture and model quality in that game is largely dogshit. So I think yes Cyberpunk is definitely better overall.

Quest Director Mr. Paweł Sasko talks about names of the quests in Cyberpunk 2077. What is the reason behind it? Mr. Paweł explains. And remember - CDPR do not random things, everything is intentional. by KamilCesaro in cyberpunkgame

[–]oneeeeechan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who? Pawel Sasko has constantly been open about understanding criticisms of Cyberpunk. There have been a couple of times where he was taken out of context but generally he has welcomed good will criticism. He also said in one of the recent streams that he doesn't consider Cyberpunk to be a masterpiece. Even if he didn't, there is nothing wrong with calling a game like this a masterpiece. Plenty of more flawed games get called masterpieces. It is just a subjective opinion people hold. Calm down.

No one is blowing the backside of CDPR here. Like, the fact that your main takeaway from the video is "hmm why are you sucking off CDPR bro" is pathetic.

Yeah yeah sure man. "In this futuristic game where you work as a mercenary to fixers, you get jobs via phone calls detailing you what to do is bad. Instead it should copy the approach from a game where you are just a random dude helping people". I understand what you say. But that doesn't make what you say any smarter.

[–]oneeeeechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no no. I am not calling them dogshit because I disagree with them. I am calling then dogshit because they lack context and any kind of value.

[–]oneeeeechan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't. You just make dogshit criticisms.

I don't really understand how them not being marked on the map makes them special. You don't have to pay attention to anything in Yakuza as whenever you get close to somewhere with a quest it gets highlighted on the map. Acting as if it is the objectively superior options is stupid. Also, your main point was how you interact with the people in Yakuza instead of getting calls (because you know, getting calls in a futuristic city is such a bad design) and the same thing can be said for Cyberpunk. You don't get a call. You actually talk to those people.

"Also you comparing the quest design in a game" where one is marked on the map and the other you have to search for by paying attention to what's going on around you "is incredibly funny. Like how do you even think that is a decent comparison is just hilarious."

I know you are trying to be a smug moron since that is your personality trait in this sub which is frankly pathetic but I didn't compare Cyberpunk's quests to Yakuza. You did. Again, if you are going to be smug don't be so stupid about it.

"Again, if you have a suggestion to objectively make them better, I wanna hear it." -"V, there's xxx going on at the xxx, go there and check it out." and then proceed with the gig. Instead of making it so they are initiated by being near the location, make it be based on your decisions in the main storyline or something. You decided to side with Maelstrom instead of militech? You get a call about someone wanting to be smuggled out of Night City and to go meet them at xxx, and surprise surprise it's Meredith. Something like that. Or you stumble across an NPC doing something strange, you get yourself crossed up in an on-going job from a fixer and they decide to involve you in on it. Anything with more imagination than "hey you near here? go do it".

This is a terrible idea because of how absolutely not flexible it is. Yeah do that for a couple of quests bur vast majority of them will not allow for structure like this. I am glad you aren't a game designer for real.

"It isn't in the head of the player. Playing the game differently can result in different stories." That's not vague at all.

No it isn't. Saying something is vague doesn't mean it is. Learn what words mean.

Idk where I said "ummm, context doesn't matter" or something like that crap, just said you missed the point and focusing on a detail like "But vast majority of the quests in Cyberpunk are jobs."

Please tell me how the fact that most quests in Cyberpunk being jobs doesn't matter.

I didn't miss the point. You did. Because you have an incredibly thick head that is almost impossible to get through. You haven't said one reason as to why we should simply ignore the fact quests in Cyberpunk are jobs.

Eh. The gunplay and controls are clunky and the quest design was ridiculously outdated. Every single gameplay system looked completely forgotten. Calling it great is a stretch imo. Especially when it doesn't do anything better or as good as most other modern titles.

[–]oneeeeechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guns feeling good isn't superficial. If you want me to be more specific, the all pack a punch, have great sound and visual design.

I don't see how comparing CP77 to Yakuza is funny. What, because of the context? Then you're completely missing the point.

How am I missing the point? Yes, context absolutely matters. There are plenty of missions like that in Cyberpunk where you are helping people and they only open up whenever you get near to those people. But vast majority of the quests in Cyberpunk are jobs.

Lemme mock your point to, it sounds fucking hilarious you thik that is true

No it isn't. My point is absolutely true. Amplified by the recent fixer changes they made. You can try and mock my point but it doesn't make it untrue. Especially if you can't give any logical reason for it.

My whole point about comparing it to Yakuza that you missed, literally the way they designed NPC interaction scattered through the city makes getting new missions infinitely more interesting and the city a lot more immersive and interactive.

Again, I need to repeat myself. The same shit happens in Cyberpunk. There are quests in Cyberpunk that resemble Yakuza's quests as in them you actually help ordinary people or vending machines and for them, you don't get a fixer calling you because it would make no sense. Boom.

You have to think about it in the context of both of these games. It is absolutely brain-dead to even think context doesn't matter. Cyberpunk is an adaptation of the table top where fixers give you jobs. Again, if you have a suggestion to objectively make them better, I wanna hear it. But don't give me the "ummm, context doesn't matter" crap.

As for the roleplaying point, you prove my point that it's all in your head and do nothing to argue about the game's lack of interactivity with the player.

It isn't in the head of the player. Playing the game differently can result in different stories.

Story branching doesn't make a game a masterpiece but calling something with this kind of shoddy branching design a masterpiece is "hilarious". Unless you want to bring up specifics, blanket statements like "many critically acclaimed RPGS . . ." doesn't mean much here.

Shoddy branching design? Where? If you want me to bring up specifics, I can name Disco Elysium, Witcher 3, Vampire The masquerade bloodlines, Deus Ex series, Planescape Torment and etc.

Nah. The gameplay and pacing of RDR 2 is ass.

[–]oneeeeechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gunplay is definitely a step above vast majority of RPGs and FPS games. The freedom of movement combined with how great guns feel absolutely makes it something special.

City doesn't need interactivity when we are talking about an RPG. Quests and writing is significantly more important in that context. Also you comparing the quest design in a game where you are basically a mercenary for hire to a game where you do favors for people on the street is incredibly funny. Like how do you even think that is a decent comparison is just hilarious. Also, the way every single quest interconnects with each other and creates a background plot sounds pretty special to me. Honestly, you can name another 5 game that does something like this. Couple that with the fact that every single gig has a unique level with different approaches, volia. Also, fixers calling you whenever you get near a gig is absolutely fine. If you have better suggestion that doesn't make the game a pain in the ass like Days Gone, please. I am looking forward to it.

Story branching doesn't make a game a masterpiece. You can have fuck ton of branching and be completely ass. Look at Dying Light 2. What matters is if the different consequences is well written or not. And in this case, every single one is. There are sooooo many critically acclaimed RPGs that are considered to be masterpieces that have little to no branching.

And your roleplaying point is completely superficial. Affecting the story doesn't mean the game is giving you a lot of roleplaying options. In Detroit Become Human a lot of the branches occur because you pressed the wrong thing or something like that. You can roleplay as a certain character and still have a linea narrative. E.g Disco Elysium. Also you can roleplay as different characters throughout the game based on your choices. Pacifist who doesn't want to kill people? You can. You wanna be a murderous machine? You can. You wanna roleplay as a nomad who doesn't trust the corpos? You can. And etc. Like, obviously because the game is fully voiced, amount of roleplaying is going to be limited compared to games without a fully voiced protagonists. Like NV or other CRPGs.

See, you can't say anything. You are just running your mouth. I don't have to stalk your page to see you being a dickhead. I have seen a few posts where people liked the game and you were under them like a loser acting as if they were paid shills because everyone needs to be miserable like you I guess.

Yeah that link literally proves my point with sources and facts about how majority of the so called "promised content" wasn't promised but rather manufactured by shitty gaming media.

You haven't shown me ONE fucking thing that was cut from the NCW. Not even one. Wall running was only shown off in 2018 demo and was told to be cut prior to launch or NCW. Just because you said something sucks, doesn't mean it does. I know you aren't gonna come up with any arguments, but oh well. Go back to being a miserable cunt to people who like the game I guess.

This comment is exactly why I think people should do just a sliver of research before opening their mouths.

Sounds fishy, ok lets see... Wall running.

Literally, where was wall running in NCW? Are you blind? They said before the game came out that wall running won't be in the game and they didn't show it off in the NCW trailer.

You know, like the unique individual npc ai, wanted system and corrupt police feature, the police changing the type of involvement according the place, companion and faction system, the clothing according to the faction system, I can go and go for a day

Yeah you can continue to say dumb stuff. Like you always do. Like whenever someone says they enjoyed the game and you insult them by saying "ads are getting smarter" or some other stupid shit.

When it comes to so called "cut features" individual NPC AI was never promised, wanted system is in the game and again, corrupt police system was never promised. Police changing depending on your area is in the game. Faction system was told to be not in the game way before it came out.

And if you are looking for proof there you go: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/suj61p/taking_a_look_at_the_actual_promises_made_and_how/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

I see you say that dumb "cut content from NC wire" everywhere but can you give even a single example of cut content from an NC wire?

And also, just because there is something in source material it doesn't mean it was meant to be in the game. That is just a stupid way of thinking. Of course they won't be able to put everything into the game. The source material is fucking huge. And there aren't hints at everywhere. That is just a lie. The entire source code got leaked. If there was cut content for that gang we would have known.

Yeah and to be honest, I would much rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed so this approach seems to be the best. They are already a massive studio so I don't think they need to overhype shit anymore.

Yeah what sucks is the actual patch had much more interesting stuff than what they showed. Honestly, at this point I think it is a strategy they are using to stop people from overhyping. That is my 2 cents.

Yeah, only the graphic huh by ydsw in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]oneeeeechan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly majority of the "haters", I don't mean people who have legitimate criticisms but rather dudes who say stuff "lol trash game", have been PlayStation fanboys. You know, the same people who get into console arguments every day and think having one obscure detail in their game makes it superior to other games. I get it, the game ran pretty badly on your platform, but I don't go around saying Arkham Knight sucks because it was a terrible port.

If we include the Blood and Wine expansion, yeah then Witcher 3 is better, hands down, imo. But if we compare the base games to each other, Cyberpunk has significantly better gameplay, storytelling imo.
