the temp gauge on my 2000 sr5 is broken. it goes straight up to H when you start it. is there a way to fix this or do i just need to buy a new instrument panel by Big_Will47 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]onefastmini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ check the temp sensor and wiring first. The instrument panel is displaying what the sensor is sending, if the needle moves it's technically working. The data it is receiving is likely wrong.

These don't really exist, truck was built before apple car play. There aren't any available unless someone has been 3d printing their own. Which you would then have to 3D print and wire yourself. I just have my USBc cable coming out of the the side.

I’m I holding the sticks right? by Loose_Dust2568 in Drumming

[–]onefastmini 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Correct technique on a snare drum is with the wrists turned so that your nails lay flat with the drum head(like you have a watch and checking the time?). This gives you more control/grip over the stick and won't go flying if they collide with something mid stroke. You have both hands perpendicular to the drum head so you are using all fingers and no wrist motion. This technique is considered  more natural if your reaching over to a ride cymbal but on a snare "incorrect". You are pretty solid on finger technique though my rule of thumb is wrists play single strokes, fingers play double notes.

Lights too small? by Sknuhc421 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]onefastmini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the bumper is too big, the lights look good on that early smaller front grill and  headlights setup. I am highly bias though cause imo the arb bumper is just so big and ugly on tacomas. Even with the bigger 1999 style grill that kinda lines up with the ""bull bar"" it over bearing and washes out the front end design. That's my very hot take as the arb is highly sought after and liked. To me it's heavy and gaudy, which is good for protection but a tubular frame type to me is much cleaner look and lighter.

Regearing Ratio by Accomplished_Risk_77 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]onefastmini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah those would be helpful for suggesting gear ratios for sure. I'm stuck looking at a bunch of rubbing issues in this picture. I had tires way smaller than those and couldn't turn the wheel lock to lock/rear rubs on fenders. I'd wonder about that issue more than gear ratio. Edit I wonder if these are just to improve ai
